Four players scored in double-figures for No. 1 Pickerington Central as the Tigers rolled past No. 47 Westland, 112-55. Sophomore guard Jeremiah Francis led Pickerington Central with 16 points. With the win, the Tigers advance to take on No. 19 Mifflin in the district semifinals.
No. 14 Hilliard Davidson shut down No. 27 Central Crossing for a third time this season, advancing past the Comets in a 50-37 win. The Wildcats were led by senior guard Nick Livingston, who scored a game-high 18 points. With the win, the Wildcats advance to take on No. 6 Westerville South, who ended Davidson's season last year in the district finals.
In a sloppy contest that did not offer many offensive highlights, No. 15 Olentangy Liberty edged out No. 21 New Albany, 37-36. Despite missing several chances at the line in the fourth quarter, Olentangy Liberty held on to advance to play No. 2 Newark in the district finals. Sophomore wing Ben Roderick led all scorers with 13 points, in addition to a game-high seven rebounds.
Grove City senior Zach Sammeth scored a career-high 27 points as the No. 17 Greyhounds knocked off the rust in a 78-67 win over No. 26 Olentangy. Sammeth was joined in double-figures by fellow senior Isaiah Dewberry, who finished with 20 points. Grove City advances to play No. 18 Dublin Coffman in the district semifinals. Wednesday's matchup will be a rematch of the 2015 district semifinals in which Grove City upset Dublin Coffman.
