COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Earning 53 percent of the nearly 2000 votes, South sophomore point guard Treohn Watkins is the GNC: Beat Average Player of the Week for Dec. 18-25. Watkins' crowning performance was a 27-point performance on the road at Linden on Dec. 22, in which Watkins led South to a big win that helped the Bulldogs remain the lone undefeated team in the City League.

While Watkins' performance was at that time a career-high for points, the sophomore guard could be back on the ballot this week after a 34-point performance on the road at Lancaster last Friday.

Watkins is enjoying a big season manning the South backcourt, averaging 15.2 points per game for the 8-0 bulldogs.
