COLUMBUS, Ohio -- We are coming off another intriguing week of hoops in Columbus! Returning is the Just Hoops Player of the Week! We have a great list of candidates on deck.

You can vote from today through Friday, February 7! 

The Candidates

 

ANDRE TRENT (SR. G, INDEPENDENCE) - 74 POINTS IN THREE GAMES IN WHICH TRENT HIT AN ABSURB 20 THREES. THE SENIOR GUARD IS ONE OF THE ELITE SHOOTERS IN THE AREA AND IS ON A CURRENT RAMPAGE FOR THE UPSTART SIXERS.

JAIDEN GUICE (JR. G, WESTERVILLE SOUTH) - 47 POINTS IN TWO WINS OVER LICKING HEIGHTS AND OLENTANGY ORANGE. GUICE'S BREAKOUT JUNIOR YEAR HAS HELPED THE 'CATS RECOVER FROM A 6-WIN 2018-19 SEASON AND FORCE A TIE FOR FIRST PLACE IN THE OCC-BUCKEYE.

MARCUS JOHNSON (SR. G, SOUTH) - 28 POINTS, 8 REBOUNDS, 4 ASSISTS IN A STATEMENT WIN OVER WALNUT RIDGE. JOHNSON'S CAREER-HIGH SCORING GAME WAS CRUCIAL IN A WIN FOR SOUTH THAT HELPED THEM SECURE A TIE FOR A DIVISION TITLE.

KEATON TURNER (SR. G, DUBLIN COFFMAN) - 42 POINTS IN A WIN OVER MARYSVILLE ON FRIDAY. TURNER'S 42 POINTS WERE THE MOST FOR A COFFMAN PLAYER IN 18 YEARS. THE SENIOR GUARD EARNED AN OFFER FROM WOFFORD SHORTLY AFTER HIS BREAKOUT GAME.

OTTO KUHNS (SR. G, BLOOM-CARROLL) -  56 POINTS IN BIG ROAD WINS AT GRANVILLE AND LIBERTY UNION. KUHNS' 36 POINTS ON FRIDAY AGAINST LIBERTY UNION WERE A SEASON-HIGH AND HELPED THE BULLDOGS WIN ITS SIXTH-STRAIGHT GAME.
