Bishop Hartley's Morgan Safford went off for 99 points in three big wins this week

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- After another week of action altered by snow and cold, we still got to see some players put up huge numbers. Let's take a look at some of the past week's top scorers.

Morgan Safford (6’4 WG / Bishop Hartley / 2019): Safford had one of the most dominant weeks that we have seen all season, combining for 99 points in three wins over Grove City Christian, DeSales and Toledo Woodward. Scoring 33 points on Monday against GCC, 28 on Friday against DeSales and 38 points yesterday against Woodward, nobody had an answer for Morgan this week. He also made the game-tying and game-winning three’s on Friday. Offer. That. Man.

Von Cameron Davis (6’5 WF / Walnut Ridge / 2020): Von Cameron continued to dominate the City League South this week. After going for 27 points in a win at West on Monday, he scored 37 on the very next day against Independence. Bringing his scoring average to 28.8 points per game after last week, Davis is scoring regardless of whoever is in front of him right now.

Max Martz (6’6 WF / Upper Arlington / 2019): After making his return from a lingering back injury last week against Hilliard Davidson, Martz appeared to be taking full form once again this week. After scoring a modest 18 points in a win over Westerville Central on Tuesday, he went off on Friday, scoring a career-high 43 points against Westland. As he combined for 61 points in two games this week, it’s safe to say that Martz is back.

Cali Davis (6'2 CG / Africentric / 2020): Davis had a dominant week this week as the Nubians split two games. Going for 20 points in a win over Eastmoor on Tuesday and 28 points in a loss to Beaver Eastern on Saturday, he combined for 48 points and continued his hot stretch.

Delavonte Jackson (6’0 PG / Liberty Christian / 2019): Despite losing both games this week, Jackson dominated for Liberty Christian. Scoring a combined 47 points, he went off for 26 points at Fairfield Christian and also scored 21 points against a solid Bishop Ready squad.

Dallas Patrick (6’1 CG / Wellington / 2019): Splitting his 40 point total perfectly in two games this week, Patrick scored 20 points in a win over Berne Union on Monday and also scored 20 in a win over Fredericktown on Saturday night.

Jared Frey (6’4 CG / St. Charles / 2022): Despite losing two close games this week, Frey continued to be the main source of offense for St. Charles. Combining for 39 points in the two games, he scored 21 against Bishop Watterson on Friday and also put up 18 against Groveport the very next day.

Bo Myers (6’5 WG / Logan / 2019): The Malone commit made his mark felt in the Chieftains one game this week, a win over Parkersburg South. After scoring 30 points in the game, Myers became the programs all-time leading scorer, a testament to his great career in the TVC.

Jared Rose (6’2 CG / Fairfield Christian / 2022): In the Knights only game this week against Liberty Christian, Rose scored a career-high 30 points in dominant fashion. Keep an eye on the freshman in the MSL-Cardinal for years to come.

Hunter Antritt (6’1 CG / Liberty Union / 2019): After coming off of an excellent showing last Saturday against Teays Valley, Antritt put on a shooting clinic during the Lions' one game this week. Going for 28 points in a win over Newark Catholic on Monday, Hunter knocked down eight three-pointers, putting on a show in front of the home crowd.

Nick Kimmel (6’2 CG / Marion Pleasant / 2019): In his teams only game this week, Kimmel went off for 27 points in a win on the road at River Valley. Currently averaging 15.7 points per game, Kimmel is one of the best players in the entire MOAC.

Zach Sawyer (6’1 PG / Bishop Watterson / 2019): The unsigned senior dominated in the Eagles big league game on Friday night, going for 26 points and leading his team to a huge overtime win against St. Charles.

Javohn Garcia (6’2 CG / Pickerington Central / 2019): Javohn continued his hot stretch this week in the Tigers one game, a big win over Reynoldsburg on Friday. He scored 25 points in the contest to lead Pickerington Central. As his recruitment has started to heat up in the past two weeks, West Virginia was on hand Friday to take in his excellent showing.

DJ Moore (6’3 PG / Worthington Christian / 2022): The freshman had another great week this week by scoring 25 points in a win over Grove City Christian on Saturday. Moore has been the most productive player on a Worthington Christian team who will contend for a district title this season as a freshman.
