Jonathan Alder made a statement by rolling over London last Friday

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Officially at the halfway point in the season, the tournament picture is beginning to get a little clearer. Let's take a look at the latest power rankings in Division II.

1. South (11-0) - The Bulldogs have continued to roll this year and don't look to slow down. Friday's road test at Walnut Ridge will determine who represents the South division in the City League Championship.

2. DeSales (8-4) - The Stallions won in close fashion last week, taking down St. Charles in overtime. DeSales will get tested this week with a road matchup at Whitehall before hosting Walnut Ridge on Saturday.

3. Jonathan Alder (8-3) - Alder picked up its best win of the season and stayed in the CBC hunt with an 18-point win over London last Friday. The Pioneers will be back in conference play this week against Graham and Bellefontaine.

4. Bishop Watterson (6-5) - Watterson is coming off a great week in which it took down Buckeye Valley and Bishop Ready. The Eagles' road doesn't get any easier as Watterson will head to Westerville North and Bishop Hartley to end the week. With the toughest schedule of anyone in Division II, the Eagles will be battle tested by the time the district tournament rolls around.

5. Bishop Hartley (6-4) - Hartley seems to be rounding into shape heading into the back half of the season. The Hawks will be greatly tested this week as they head to No. 13 (D1) Upper Arlington on Tuesday before hosting Bishop Watterson on Friday. Hartley desperately needs a win on Friday to stay in the CCL hunt.

6. Bexley (9-4) - Ryan Callahan's "flu game" elevated Bexley over Worthington Christian on the road, as the senior went for 23 points and 15 rebounds after throwing up five minutes before tip off. The Lions will look to keep last week's momentum rolling at home against Bloom-Carroll and Whitehall this week.

7. London (10-2) - After winning eight-straight games, London took a big loss on the road at Jonathan Alder. The Red Raiders will be back in action in the CBC with a road matchup at North Union before hosting a tough Kenton Ridge team on Friday. We'll see how this young team bounces back from last week's adversity.

8. Granville (7-2) - The Aces have been a sleeper in Division II and can make a statement this week if they can take down No. 3 (D3) Johnstown. A win over the Johnnies would put Granville in a good spot to compete for an LCL title.

9. Fairfield Union (7-4) - A loaded week awaits the Falcons, as Fairfield Union will host surging Liberty Union on Monday before Bloom-Carroll comes to town later in the week.

10. Beechcroft (8-3) - Beechcroft has quietly turned its season around, winning six-straight games. The Cougars can redeem itself and stay in prime position to win the City League North by taking down Mifflin and Centennial at home this week.
