Bexley senior Nasir Tucker is the Just Hoops Player of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Receiving a record 23,577 votes, Bexley senior guard Nasir Tucker is the Just Hoops Player of the Week. Tucker narrowly beat out South junior guard Taquan Simington, who finished slightly behind him with 21,653 votes.

The guard duo helped break a POTW record with more than 50,000 total votes, battling back and forth until the final hour. Tucker receives the award after a big weekend where he combined for 43 points in big wins over Miami Trace and St. Charles.

Averaging just north of 10 points per game, Tucker has heated up as of late, combining for 59 points in the last three games, all wins for Bexley. The 5-foot-8 senior is a quick handling point guard who can score it from all over.

Bexley has been led nearly entirely by its veteran backcourt, as Tucker, senior Ryan Callahan and junior Damian Davis are combining to score 36.7 points per game.

The Lions will be back in action on Saturday with a tough road test against MSL-Ohio foe Worthington Christian.
