Olentangy Liberty's Ben Roderick and West Jeff's Ben Casey are the POTW to end December

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- As we end 2018, it's time to announce the final two winners of the Just Hoops Player of the Week.

Taking home more than 50 percent of 3,000-plus votes, West Jefferson's Ben Casey is the Player of the Week for Dec. 17-24. Casey had a big week, going for 34 points against Mechanicsburg and following that up with 22 points in an upset win at Worthington Christian. Casey is a breakout senior for the Roughriders, who is currently averaging more than 20 points and 10 rebounds per game.

In the week following Christmas, Olentangy Liberty's Ben Roderick took home a unanimous Just Hoops Player of the Week award by going for a career-high 51 points in a win over Johns Creek (GA) in Florida this past weekend. Roderick, whose scoring outburst is the most single game scoring performance ever recorded in the history of 270 Hoops, scored 101 points in three games this past week. Averaging 31.5 points per game, Roderick has been the best player in the area to begin the season.

We will continue our voting series on Jan. 7 after another full week of high school basketball! In the meantime, check out Just Hoops by Shoot-A-Way in Lewis Center today. Just Hoops is a shooting facility with something for everyone!
