No. 3 Dublin Coffman is rolling at 5-0

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Christmas has come and gone and it's almost time for high school basketball to heat back up. Let's take a look at the newest power rankings in Division I.

1. Pickerington Central (6-0) - The Tigers have dominated this season and made another statement with a win over Reynoldsburg last week. Pickerington Central will look to stay undefeated this weekend at the Detroit Roundball Classic.

2. Hilliard Bradley (6-0) - Hilliard Bradley has been the area's best defensive team, holding every opponent but one to under 43 points. The Jaguars get a matchup against Westerville North on Thursday in what should be one of its toughest challenges yet.

3. Dublin Coffman (5-0) - Coffman has one of the area's elite offenses, as the Rocks have been clicking on all cylinders. Two tough matchups against Lakota East and Fairland await this week at the Stephen Gussler Invitational at Thomas Worthington.

4. Pickerington North (6-1) - The Panthers steamrolled lowly competition this past week to improve to 6-1. With momentum and confidence, the young Panthers are off until after the new year.

5. Walnut Ridge (6-1) - The Scots took down Independence in a rivalry game on Friday and will look to keep rolling with a home matchup against No. 13 Olentangy this week. Walnut Ridge is one of the more intriguing teams in the area, as Saturday's matchup against the Braves will be a mixture of different styles.

6. Upper Arlington (4-1) - Golden Bears star Max Martz went down with an injury in last week's win over Westland. Upper Arlington's outlook will depend on the health of the Penn signee Martz, who is the key to this team.

7. Olentangy Liberty (4-1) - Ben Roderick is back to his normal self, averaging 30 points per game and dominating every team he's faced thus far. Olentangy Liberty gets a big test in Pensacola, Fla. this week with three games in three days against quality competition.

8. Delaware Hayes (5-0) - One of few remaining undefeated teams in the area, Delaware also heads to Florida, as the Pacers will play three games in Orlando this week. If Hayes can go unbeaten this week in Florida, look for January's early matchup against Hilliard Bradley to be huge.

9. Gahanna (5-2) - Gahanna has navigated the first seven games of the season with a young roster very well, only dropping games to Reynoldsburg and Pickerington North. The Lions head to Zanesville on Saturday.

10. Reynoldsburg (5-2) - Dropping back to back games in a span of 18 hours or so, Reynoldsburg quickly fell back to earth after a 5-0 star. The Raiders have two intriguing matchups against Ringwood (Australia) and Brunswick this week.

11. Newark (6-1) - Dropping a home game against Reynoldsburg in heart breaking fashion last Tuesday, Newark rebounded with wins against Big Walnut and Zanesville. With a 23-game OCC win streak, Newark will look to win its own holiday tournament this weekend before resuming league play in January.

12. Hilliard Davidson (5-2) - With more size than just about any team in the area, Hilliard Davidson used that to its advantage to come from behind and beat Logan last Saturday. The Wildcats have just one game this week, heading to Hilliard Darby later in the week.

13. Olentangy (4-2) - The Braves have been one of the most efficient offenses in the area, featuring a cast of high-level shooters. Olentangy hopes its hot shooting will continue at Walnut Ridge this week in one of the area's biggest non-league matchups to end 2018.

14. Canal Winchester (7-0) - Quietly rolling at 7-0, Canal Winchester has taken care of business against a relatively light schedule. The Indians get a rivalry game at home against Bloom-Carroll on Friday to end the calendar year. An undefeated streak heading into 2019 will do wonders for the confidence of the Indians.

15. Olentangy Orange (5-3) - Taking down Westerville South in the Calo Bowl on Friday, Orange enters the top 15 despite falling to Mentor on Saturday. The Pioneers have one of the area's best backcourts and will compete against just about anyone.
