Dublin Coffman's Luke Bartemes and Dominiq Penn were outstanding on Saturday

DUBLIN, Ohio -- In an exciting non-conference game on Saturday night, Dublin Coffman rolled past Dayton Thurgood Marshall in the final three quarters of a 78-50 win. The Rocks relied on junior guard Dominiq Penn, who led all scorers with 28 points.

Penn knocked dow six threes and got any shot he wanted on the floor. Senior wing Luke Bartemes, who has been a wonder as of late, had a dominant performance, putting together an absolutely insane stat line of 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists, four blocks and seven steals. Saturday's performance came just one night after Bartemes blocked five shots in a win at Mansfield Senior.

Let's take a look at the game's top prospects.

Dominiq Penn (6'0 PG / Dublin Coffman / 2020): Penn is playing with a clear mind at the moment and has been an all-out stud as of late. Less than 24 hours after going off for 36 points in which he didn't miss a shot in the second half, Penn wasted no time in keeping his momentum going. Knocking down six threes in an efficient showing, Penn put together a terrific game, finishing with a game-high 28 points. An elite-level ball handler with plenty of shift to his game, Penn could not be contained by Thurgood Marshall's backcourt. Watched by Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann on Saturday, things should begin to really heat up for Penn, who is playing his best basketball lately. Penn has always been the top option for the Rocks, but with the development of the supporting cast, Coffman has a team capable of putting up plenty of points on each night out.

Luke Bartemes (6'4 WF / Dublin Coffman / 2019): Every single year there are a handful of seniors who take their game to a level that even they may not have expected. For Bartemes, he is in the middle of such a process as the Lincoln Memorial signee is playing some amazing basketball at the moment. Bartemes put together the best performance that we've ever seen out of him, dominating on both ends of the floor and finishing with 17 points, seven rebounds, five assists, four blocks and seven steals (we wanted to type that one out again to show you how insane that is). A strong and physical forward who has greatly improved athletically, Bartemes impressed us with his shooting ability as always, but it was his finishing ability through contact that was intriguing. The 6-foot-4 senior bullied defenders and finished through them, a part of his game that has opened everything up for him. However, it was Bartemes' impact on the defensive side that was most impressive. Protecting the rim all night long, Bartemes stuffed four shots and swiped seven passes. One of three really good seniors for the Rocks, Bartemes is likely to be this team's x-factor in games against the elite competition in the area.

Eric Middlebrook (6'1 PG / Dayton Thurgood Marshall / 2019): Middlebrook seemed to be the heart and soul of the Thurgood team, as his energy and toughness powered the Cougars on Saturday. While Coffman may have had a sizable lead for the majority of the night, Thurgood Marshall never stopped competing, and a lot of that was due to the tone that Middlebrook set. A tough guard who defended with passion, hit shots and got to the rim, Middlebrook showed us a lot on Saturday by scoring 16 points against a tough Coffman team. Middlebrook, alongside sophomore Chanze Amerson, form an intriguing backcourt for the Cougars. Amerson scored six points and raised some eyebrows with a powerful dunk in transition in the second half.
