COLUMBUS, Ohio - Hosting the very first 270 Hoops OPen Gym on Tuesday at Cleo Dumaree Athletic Complex on the east side, more than 50 players from all over Columbus stopped out and took part in the action. Let's take a look at some of the top performers from the night.

Jordan McMillian (6'1 PG / Westerville South / 2019): McMillian is a tough cover on the defensive perimeter, as he has a special ability to get to the rim and finish. McMillian changes speeds and direction as well as anyone in the area and is really difficult to defend when his outside shot is falling. More impressive than anything is McMillian's commitment to the defensive perimeter, which is a trademark of Westerville South players under Ed Calo. 

Ryan Greggs (6'2 PG / Westerville South / 2019): Greggs has improved as much as any player in the 2019 class over the last few years. While also stretching out to 6-foot-2, Greggs is playing his best basketball yet right now. A physical guard who is a legitimate two-way player, Greggs impressed as his team won more than any other in the gym. Greggs gets to the basket, can knock down shots and is a physical defender who showed more athleticism than what we've previously seen on Tuesday. 

Jacob Singleton (6'2 WG / Westerville South / 2019): Another solid senior guard for the Wildcats, Singleton has also improved this offseason and appears to be playing with great confidence. Singleton is a crafty shotmaker who has greatly improved his ability to score off the dribble from last year. A reserve player for the district runner ups last year, look for Singleton to take strides this winter as a senior. 

Damian Davis (5'11 PG / Bexley / 2020): After a breakout sophomore season last winter, Davis has continued to improve and played some of his best basketball on Tuesday. Davis plays with a chip on his shoulder, can really create off the dribble and is a reliable outside shooter. The top option on a Bexley team that should compete for a Mid State League title, the play of Davis and senior guard Nasir Tucker will mean a lot for the Lions in their quest for a Division II district title. 

Ryan Callahan (6'2 WG / Bexley / 2019): The Wright State baseball commit surprised many in the gym with his toughness, athleticism and scoring ability. A strong guard who can score it on multiple levels, Callahan was the glue guy for his team, accepting defensive challenges and scoring on the other end. Yet another talented guard on a Bexley team with serious pieces, look for Callahan to have a productive senior season before he heads off to play Division I college baseball. 

Qian Magwood (6'1 PG / Walnut Ridge / 2020): Magwood was a problem on both ends of the floor, as his toughness and competitive fire fueled his team. Magwood is an old school City League type player, as he plays with a chip on his shoulder and a confidence that feeds off to the rest of his team. Magwood has improved as a shooter and is one of the very best perimeter defenders in his class. Magwood and fellow junior Von Cameron Davis are looking to lead Walnut Ridge to a City League title this winter. 

Marcus Johnson (6'2 WG / South / 2020): Seeing Johnson for the first time in a few months, we were impressed with the super athlete from South. Johnson grabbed nearly every rebound in his area, finished above the rim on several occasions and showed off an ability to handle the ball that is better than what we saw in our last viewing. Adding a few Division I offers this summer, Johnson is one of the City League's elite prospects. 

Trevell Adams (5'11 PG / South / 2020): An athletic scoring guard who is due for a breakout year, Adams was solid on Tuesday. While he still has yet to develop into a consistent shooter, Adams was productive off the dribble, using his athleticism and strength to finish at the rim. As South graduates a few senior guards from last year's district title team, look for Adams and fellow junior Taquan Simington to step into big-time roles this winter. 

Ben Wilhelm (6'4 PF / Westerville Central / 2020): A breakout player in the 270 Hoops Fall League Open Division, Wilhelm was impressive once again on Tuesday. The 6-foot-4 forward is a reliable shooter who can really stretch the floor. Wilhelm competes on the glass and has enough toughness to mix it up on the varsity level this year. 

Quintez Ray (6'5 PF / Kipp Academy / 2020): Seeing Ray for the first time on Tuesday, we were impressed with the lengthy junior forward. Ray has good size at 6-foot-5, showed off some nice touch around the rim to go along with above average athleticism. Ray will have to continue to get stronger to maximize his potential, but we were impressed with what we saw from him on Tuesday. Keep an eye on Ray and the rest of the newfound Kipp program. 

Kalil Camara (6'3 WG / Westland / 2021): Camara, who recently moved into the Columbus area from Philadelphia, made his debut on Tuesday and did not disappoint. A big-time athlete who went viral last week, Camara showed off his bounce and then some. Camara is a big wing guard who excels as a slasher. We look forward to seeing more of Camara to see what type of shooter he is. Look for a breakout season from him as Westland is in vital need of perimeter scoring. 

Charles Perkins (6'4 PF / Westerville North / 2020): Strong, skilled post who carves up space and eats on the inside. Perkins plays with a good motor, is really effective around the basket and especially useful in the pick and roll game. Perkins and Davis were a terrific big man-guard duo on Tuesday as their team held court for several games. 

Darryl Brown (6'2 WG / Canal Winchester / 2018): The recent graduate from Canal Winchester impressed athletically, as he was one of the very best slashers in the gym. Brown changes direction in a hurry and can really elevate to the rim. Brown has college level ability and could be a solid addition for a program looking for late help.
