COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The first week of 2018 in high school basketball was a great one. Some undefeated streaks continued, some died, and some teams began the new year on a high note after a turbulent 2017. Throughout it all, the best hoopers that Central Ohio has to offer showed up and showed out.

With that being said, it's time to vote for the Just Hoops Player of the Week. Horizon Science's Emmanuel Opoku took home the honors last week.

Thomas Hickman Westerville Central 32 points vs. Mifflin, 20 points vs. Olentangy Liberty in back-to-back wins. Hickman has Westerville Central off to a sizzling 8-1 start
Kaveon Ross Hamilton Township 30 points and 15 rebounds vs. Logan Elm, 29 points and 10 rebounds vs. Amanda-Clearcreek in two league wins for the improving Rangers of Hamilton Township.
Tre Baumgardner Africentric 26 points in a double overtime showdown vs. Upper Arlington. Baumgardner hit some of the biggest shots of his career and played the best defense of anyone on the floor.
Ryan Wolfe Teays Valley 28 points in an overtime win over Fairfield Union. Wolfe's scoring performance helped the Vikings take a first place lead in the MSL
Caleb Collins Fairfield Christian 39 points in a win over Millersport earlier in the week. Collins' big day put him atop the area in scoring this season
Jalin Jackson New Albany 27 points and 22 points in wins over Canal Winchester and Mifflin. Jackson's scoring has led the Eagles to three-straight wins.
Sean Marks Olentangy 31 points in an overtime win at Olentangy Orange on the road. Marks hit a contested three-point field goal to send the game into overtime. Marks leads all 2019 PGs in PPG.
Keenan Swindells Fisher Catholic 27 points (6/8 3PT FG), 5 assists and 4 steals in a win over Millersport. Swindells is shooting 53% from three this season.
