Columbus Academy juniors Chris Boyle and Dorrian Moultrie were among Wednesday's top performers

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- As Briggs hosted day one of the second-annual Paul Pennell Classic on Wednesday, 270 Hoops was in full force for the action. Let's take a look at the results and the night's top performers.

Game 1: Columbus Academy 41, New Albany 36

Game 2: Briggs 64, Westland 57

Chris Boyle (6'5 F, Columbus Academy, 2019)

The best all-around player that we watched on Wednesday, Boyle physically dominated on both ends of the floor and showed flashes of the type of high upside prospect that he can be. A physically imposing 6-foot-5 wing forward who is as strong as an ox, Boyle provided for the toughness that Columbus Academy needed on the interior. Finishing with eight points, eight rebounds and four blocks, Boyle showed some offensive versatility, knocking down two threes and showing more confidence as a scorer. The junior controlled the glass, rising up for several impressive rebounds, as well as swatting shots around the basket all night. In a low scoring game, Boyle gave Columbus Academy the execution and toughness that it needed late as New Albany looked to take control of the game.

Dorrian Moultrie (5'11 PG, Columbus Academy, 2019)

The best point guard that we watched on Wednesday, Moultrie had an impressive showing for Columbus Academy. An impressive ball handler who can push the tempo but also slow things down and help the Vikings get a good look, Moultrie commanded the floor whenever he was in the game. Finishing with 11 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals, Moultrie did a little bit of everything for Columbus Academy. Moultrie is a talented scorer who can punish a defense with his quick pull up jumper. Moultrie and Boyle are a terrific duo going forward for the undefeated Vikings.

Jake Warinner (6'4 W, New Albany, 2020)

The best sophomore prospect in the gym on Wednesday, Warinner played very well in our first viewing of him this winter. A confident 6-foot-4 wing who plays with great maturity and confidence, we liked what we saw out of Warinner. Able to finish inside, knock down shots, rebound, pass and defend, Warinner is a prospect to keep an eye on going forward in the 2020 class. Warinner and senior guard Devon Lyles combined for 19 of New Albany's 36 points on Wednesday.

Jacob Cash (6'5 F, Briggs, 2020)

Cash is an impressive looking 6-foot-5 sophomore forward who took over in a momentum changing third quarter for Briggs in the win over Westland. Finishing with 11 points and five rebounds, Cash scored eight of his 11 in the third quarter alone. Many of those points came off assists from senior guard Mareo Turner, who came in and gave Briggs a huge boost off the bench. Turner finished with a game-high nine assists and led the break with great execution for Briggs. For Cash, the 6-foot-5 forward is someone to watch in the City League going forward, as he is a solid athlete who has some tools to work with.

Zach Winegardner (6'6 C, Westland, 2018)

Winegardner was Westland's lone source of consistent offense on Wednesday, as the wide bodied 6-foot-6 senior finished with 19 points and seven rebounds. In a game that was sloppy for the majority of the action, Winegardner was solid around the basket, finishing with some touch and confidence. The senior also knocked down a three late in the game. In a season that has not gone well for Westland thus far, Winegardner and junior guard Gaige Holbrook have been two bright spots for the Cougars. Holbrook added 13 points on Wednesday.
