In the tightest race yet, Bloom-Carroll sophomore Otto Kuhns edged out Zanesville senior Cameron Brooks-Harris by a mere 10 votes for the Just Hoops Player of the Week. Going off for a career-high 32 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Amanda-Clearcreek last week, Kuhns adds yet another highlight to what has been an outstanding sophomore season.
Kuhns becomes the first Bloom-Carroll player to ever be named Player of the Week by 270 Hoops. The 6-foot-3 sophomore is also the first player from the Mid-State League to take home the award this season.
Receiving 31 percent of the 1403 votes, Kuhns took home 464 votes, just edging out Brooks-Harris (454 votes). Kuhns and Bloom-Carroll are back in action on Friday in a tough road matchup at Logan.
