A look at the top performers from Tuesday's action in Central Ohio

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- With multiple intriguing non-conference matchups on the docket in Central Ohio on Tuesday, the area's top players showed up and showed out. Let's take a look at the top performers from Tuesday's night of hoops.

1. Noah Tomlinson (6'5 PF, Grove City Christian, 2018)

Performance: 31 points, 14 rebounds 7 assists in win over Cardington

With the graduation of Matt Bailey and Brandon Baker, Tomlinson has been chosen to lead the Grove City Christian program back to prominence and the 6-foot-5 forward took a major leap in that direction on Tuesday. Going off for a career-high 31 points, Tomlinson led the Eagles in a hard-fought victory on the road at Cardington. Adding 14 rebounds and seven assists to his stat line, Tomlinson had the most dominant game of his career up to this point. With a big body and soft touch at 6-foot-5, Tomlinson is being recruited by several Division III and NAIA programs up to this point.

2. Tre Williams (6'7 PF, Reynoldsburg, 2018)

Performance: 26 points, 16 rebounds in win over Walnut Ridge

Just a few days removed from a 26-point, 15-rebound performance in a blowout win over Dayton Dunbar, Williams was up to his old tricks once again. Leading Reynoldsburg back from an eight-point halftime deficit at Walnut Ridge, Williams scored 13 of his game-high 26 points in an all important third quarter that turned the tide for the Raiders. Averaging 26 points and 15.5 rebounds for the season, Williams was visited by multiple Division I programs on Tuesday, as the 6-foot-7 post is as dominant as they come around the basket in the 2018 class.

3. Adrian Nelson (6'6 SF, Pickerington Central, 2018)

Performance: 27 points in win over Dayton Thurgood Marshall

With Jeremiah Francis sidelined until after the New Year, the Detroit Mercy signee Nelson is going to be relied upon to carry the load for Pickerington Central. Nelson did just that on Tuesday in a high scoring win over Dayton Thurgood Marshall, leading all scorers with a career-high 27 points to lead Pickerington Central to a 90-74 win. Nelson has a ton of ability on the wing and with Francis out, you can expect the 6-foot-6 forward to put up several big-time games as the Tigers will rely upon him greatly for the next two months or so.

4. Jacob Koenig (6'2 G, Jonathan Alder, 2019)

Performance: 25 points in win over Westland

For the fourth-straight season, it looks as if a Koenig brother is going to lead Jonathan Alder in scoring. After Andrew Koenig led the program in scoring the last three years, his younger brother Jacob is up next for the Pioneers. Going for a game-high 25 points at home vs. Westland, Koenig led Jonathan Alder to a 45-34 victory in a low scoring affair. Koenig torched the nets from the perimeter, knocking down 5-of-8 threes to lead the way. Look for Koenig to be among the area's leading scorers in the 2019 class at the point guard position.

5. Thomas Hickman (6'2 PG, Westerville Central, 2018)

Performance: 23 points in win over New Albany

Fresh off a 27-point performance in a win at Groveport last Friday, Westerville Central's Thomas Hickman stayed hot on the road at New Albany. Leading Westerville Central to a 56-41 win over the Eagles, Hickman led all scorers with 23 points to push the Warhawks to 2-0 on the year. After three-straight underwhelming seasons for the Westerville Central program, Hickman is looking to shift the tide and put the Warhawks back among the elite in the OCC-Buckeye.
