COLUMBUS, Ohio -- As we put out our Division I power rankings a little over a week ago, it is time to dive into Division II and III as the season tips off for the rest of the area this weekend. Before we dive into what teams fall where, we have a new metric utilized for power rankings that we are excited to introduce to the area.
Strength of Schedule Points
While last season we tracked Division I teams for ranked wins, we wanted to expand on this and really get a feel for the teams playing the best basketball.
Enter strength of schedule points.
With different values for road and home wins against the top ranked teams, in every division, this metric will help us accurately track which teams have faced the toughest road, and which ones have gotten by against weaker competition.
Take a look at how this is calculated in each division below.
