POWELL, Ohio -- And then there were no more unbeatens. With Nick Carlson's three-point shot falling with three seconds remaining, 270 Hoopers (5-1) knocked off Team Work (5-1) in a thriller on Court 2 on Sunday. Through six games, let's take a look at the top performers of Week 3 at the 270 Hoops Fall League. 

Jalen Bethel (6'7 PF / Olentangy Orange): An emerging post player with considerable skill, Bethel led the way for 3's Up in the opener on Sunday, going for a season-high 16 points as he was hard to stop underneath. Bethel has broad shoulders and a big body, which allows him to bury defenders under the basket, as he shows solid touch around the rim. 

PJ Jones (6'1 PG / Grove City): Jones had his best showing yet on Sunday, as his 14 points in the first game of the day made a big difference in 3's Up's win over Tar Heel Elite. A high-IQ point guard that can make plays, Jones showed the full arsenal of what he brings to the floor. 

Eli McNamara (6'9 PF / Pickerington North): The league's leading rebounder had another solid showing on Sunday, despite Team Work's first loss on the year. A legitimate stretch forward who is shooting the three ball at a higher clip, McNamara was also terrific in the post. After gaining strength and confidence in recent months, the sky is truly the limit for McNamara. 

JT Shumate (6'7 SF / Newark): Shumate just continues to get better and better and Sunday was no different. A matchup problem on the wing and on the block, Shumate did most of his damage on the interior, finishing at the bucket at a high level and flashing some athleticism in the open floor. A recent Walsh commit, Shumate is built for an immediate impact at the Division II level. 

Jerome Hunter (6'7 SF / Pickerington North): The best player in the league, Hunter looked like it in leading 270 Hoopers to first place in the league with the major win over Team Work. A top ten leader in points, rebounds and assists this season, Hunter was in attack mode all day on Sunday. In two wins, Hunter totaled 35 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. 

Jelani Simmons (6'5 SG / Beechcroft): Making his debut on Sunday, the Youngstown State commit wasted no time in making an impact. An above-the-rim finisher who has a smooth feel to his game, Simmons is maturing at a rapid rate and is a much better player because of it. A knockdown shooter who can get to the rim, Simmons had two great performances in leading Shift Team to a 2-0 mark on the day. 

Dondre Palmer (6'5 SF / Pickerington North): The leader of Shift Team, Palmer made a big difference on Sunday, defending and communicating at an elite level. Palmer is an instant impact type guy at the next level who will make a difference with his hustle, leadership and heart. 

Tre Williams (6'7 PF / Reynoldsburg): No player has scored more points than Williams this season, as the 6-foot-7 post was back at it on Sunday. A physical post presence that is constantly looking to punish defenders at the rim, Williams scored and rebounded at a high level on Sunday. 

Jamiel Goliday (6'0 PG / Reynoldsburg): Goliday was terrific in my viewing of him on Sunday, knocking down three point field goals and playing tough defense. A strong point guard who can really shoot it, Goliday would be a great look for Division III programs looking for an all-around tough lead guard. 

Reiko Bagley (6'5 SG / Whitehall): Bagley is a shot-making wing guard who had his best session yet this season on Sunday. Bagley stretched the floor with his three-point shooting ability and was solid on the defensive perimeter. A transfer from Rock Island, Illinois, Bagley is a player to watch for Whitehall this winter. 

Chase Rankin (6'0 PG / Gahanna): Heady point guard who controls pace and consistently finds the open man. Rankin has a quick first step, as he consistently got by defenders on Sunday and set up his teammates for assists. All-around smart point guard who can really play. 

Cameron Brooks-Harris (6'7 SF / Zanesville): Fresh off an official visit to Northern Kentucky, Brooks-Harris saved his best for last in a big win over Next Gen. Going for 16 points, Brooks-Harris showed the full arsenal of his wide range of skill and athleticism. With the potential to be an elite wing defender at the next level, Brooks-Harris' offensive game is coming along nicely as well. 

Elijah Bishop (6'6 SF / Beechcroft): A standout player so far this season, Bishop has been a ruthless scorer who is constantly in attack mode. With great length and versatility, Bishop has a chance to develop into a very strong player at the next level as he continues to add skill on the perimeter. 

Ben Fort (6'4 SG / Reynoldsburg): Back to 100 percent after a foot injury, Fort hit the gates running on Sunday with a big 21-point game in a close loss to Team Work. A crafty and efficient 6-foot-4 wing with great upside, Fort has a chance to become a very good player as he continues to mature and gain confidence. 

Max Martz (6'6 SF / Upper Arlington): A star in the league, Martz has emerged as a top three player so far and Sunday wasn't much different. A knockdown three-point shooter who has made some tough shots over the best of defenders this season, Martz got it done on both ends of the floor for Team Work. Martz can put it on the floor and finish it at the rim, in addition to his marksmanship from three. 

Josh Corbin (6'3 SG / Gahanna): An all-around playmaker that is quickly coming into his own, Corbin was productive in all facets of the game on Sunday. Scoring, rebounding, assisting and defending at a high level, Corbin showed why we feel he is the best wing guard in 2019 in the area. 

JaJuan Rodgers (6'0 PG / Springfield): A lightning quick guard who can get to the rim at will, Rodgers was very strong in our viewing of him on Sunday. Young enough to be a sophomore, Rodgers is emerging as a quality play-making lead guard who gets it done. Look for Rodgers to have a breakout junior season as Springfield will rely on him in its backcourt. 

Jordan McMillian (5'10 PG / Westerville South): In his debut on Sunday, McMillian did not disappoint as he made a distinct impact on both ends of the floor. A quick ball-handler who defends at a very high level, McMillian impressed us with his speed and motor. McMillian alongside Qian Magwood gives Arch City Clippers a lightning quick backcourt complete with two absolute gamers! 

Cole Landis (6'7 PF / Pickerington Central): Landis has clearly put in a lot of work this offseason as we have been impressed with his play, especially today. A big-bodied post who can score from inside and out, Landis was solid today as he scored and rebounded well. Look for Landis to have a big impact this season as he is truly Pickerington Central's only returning post player. 

Jeremiah Keene (6'0 PG / Westerville North): Keene had his best showing yet on Sunday as he helped lead Shift Team to a 2-0 mark. Knocking down threes at will, Keene also took a great interest in defending on the perimeter, which made a difference for his team. Keene has as quick of a first step off the dribble as anyone in the area and can be really tough to guard when his shots are falling. 

Jaidon Lipscomb (6'0 SG / Pickerington Central): After crashing the party and knocking down 13 threes in two games last week, Lipscomb was up to his old tricks again on Sunday. In our viewing of him, he kept his team in it late, as he went for 22 points, 18 of which from behind-the-arc. A deadly shooter from the perimeter, Lipscomb will only continue to improve as he adds more to his overall game. 

Ben Wight (6'8 C / Thomas Worthington): Fresh off his first offer from Ohio last weekend, Wight showed the upside that the Bobcats believe in on Sunday. Dominating the glass and affecting shots at the rim on defense, Wight showed flashes of the type of dominant post player that we think he will become. 

Zach Wilson (6'2 PG / Worthington Kilbourne): A breakout player this fall, Wilson has been very impressive as he is a tough ball-handler who can flat out score at the rim. Going for 30 points in two games on Sunday, Wilson punished defenses with a mix of interior and perimeter scoring. Look for a big junior year from Wilson at Kilbourne this winter.

Derek Van Vlerah (6'5 SG / Dublin Coffman): In his debut on Sunday, Van Vlerah showed the intriguing athleticism and above-the-rim playmaking that earned him an invite after an impressive Monday open gym showing. With a lot of tricks in his bag, Van Vlerah is an aggressive wing guard who can do a lot of things on the floor. This winter could be huge for Van Vlerah, who has a legitimate chance to end up as a Division I player when it's all said and done. Van Vlerah was the "who is that kid?" player of the day, as many in the gym were impressed with the big-time plays he made in our viewing of him. 

Owen Hazelbaker (6'7 PF / Johnstown): A player who has greatly benefited by this league, Hazelbaker was at his best in Team Work's win over Offers Only. Going for 10 points and a game-high eight rebounds, Hazelbaker controlled the boards and scored efficiently in and away from the basket. Hazelbaker should be a dominant force in the Licking County League if he continues to play like he has in the fall league. 

Von Cameron Davis (6'5 SF / Walnut Ridge): Davis was an all-out beast as nobody in the gym was more productive than him on the interior. Combining for 36 points and 17 rebounds in two games on Sunday, Davis was a force on the block and offensive glass, as the opposition struggled to keep him off the board and out of the boxscore. After becoming the first freshman since Jared Sullinger in 2007 to be named first team All-Columbus City League last winter, Davis is wasting no time in becoming one of the area's toughest forces in the paint. 

Chris Mayfield (6'3 SF / Hilliard Bradley): After racking up two interceptions and two sacks on Friday night in a big win for Hilliard Bradley, Mayfield got it done on the hardwood on Sunday. An elite-level athlete and wing defender, Mayfield was the only player to really give Jerome Hunter problems defensively, as Mayfield picked his pocket twice, both times leading to points for Team Work. A big-time Division I prospect in both basketball and football, Mayfield has a great feel for the game and can impact a team on every level. 

CJ Anthony (6'0 PG / Harvest Prep): Anthony excelled in multiple ways on Sunday, as he put together his best game of the season in a win over Next Gen. A physical ball-handler that can rebound and pass, in addition to scoring near the rim, Anthony looked the part of the Mid-State League sensation that he was last season. 

Tyrese Hughley (6'6 PF / Licking Heights): Hughley had his best showing yet on Sunday, as he was active and efficient scoring around the basket. With great length and mobility, Hughley will only continue to impress as he adjusts to the pace and physicality of the high school game. Sunday was a great start for what should be a standout freshman season for Hughley. 

Chance Groce (6'3 SG / Linden-McKinley): Consistently the first player to arrive to the gym, Groce was very solid on Sunday, as he has adjusted to the speed of the game in this league. A confident player who can really get it done, Groce went for eight points in a big win over 3's Up, which is a great sign for Arch City going forward. Groce should be an instant impact player for Linden this winter.
