COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Over halfway through the basketball season, Central Ohio's crazy tournament picture is beginning to take shape. Last week's action acted as a precursor for this week, which has already been crazy one day in. 

Take a look at the seven candidates below and vote for the GNC: Beat Average Player of the Week for Jan. 16-22. You can VOTE ONCE PER DAY until Sunday. The winner will be announced on Monday, Jan. 30. 

 

Player High School Performance
Nick Carlson Dublin Coffman 19 points in a big overtime win at Upper Arlington. Carlson's performance helped Dublin Coffman rise to first in the OCC-Central
Ben Roderick Olentangy Liberty 45 points in two big wins this past weekend. Roderick, who leads all sophomores in scoring, has enjoyed a breakout season in leading Olentangy Liberty to 11 wins
Antwon Hampton Central Crossing 26 points in a rivalry win vs. Westland. Hampton is scoring the ball at a high level as of late, helping Central Crossing win seven games
Danny Corbett Briggs 28 points, 13 rebounds and four assists in a big league win over Africentric. Corbett has led Briggs nearly by himself, scoring more than 20 points per game
Dibaji Walker Independence 48 points in two games this past weekend. Walker led Independence over Marion-Franklin with 24 points on Friday. Responded on Saturday with 24 points in a loss to Bishop Hartley
Jejuan Weatherspoon Northland 22 points in a rivalry win over Beechcroft. Weatherspoon has been the Vikings' leading scorer this season, combining for 49 points in two wins over Beechcroft.
