Jay Joseph dropped a career-high 36 points on Friday

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- In the last night of game action in 2016, several area players went out with a bang. Let's take a look at the top scorers from Friday below.

1. Jay Joseph (Sr. SF, Worthington Christian)

Performance: 36 points vs. Northmor

Joseph went for a career-high 36 points in Worthington Christian's 73-57 win over Northmor. The Mount Vernon-Nazarene commit has been off to a terrific start this season, averaging a team-best 17.6 points per game. Joseph leads Worthington Christian into 2017 as the area's top Division III team.

2. Treohn Watkins (So. PG, South)

Performance: 34 points vs. Lancaster

In a road matchup at Division I Lancaster, Watkins stepped up big time to help South remain undefeated. Going for a career-high 34 points, Watkins was on fire all night long, putting up 22 points in the first half alone. After pouring in a former career-high 27 points last Thursday vs. Linden, Watkins one upped that performance on the road against a top 25 team in D1. Watkins' 34 points are the most by a sophomore this season.

3. Ridge Young (Sr. SG, Logan Elm)

Performance: 31 points vs. Chillicothe

Despite 31 points in a matchup vs. Chillicothe, Young's high scoring was not enough to lead Logan Elm to a win. The good news for Young, however, is that he now leads Central Ohio in scoring at 28 points per game, as the senior guard has scorched the nets all season long.

4. Jacob Arter (Sr. PG, Lancaster)

Performance: 30 points vs. South

In a matchup of big-time guards, Arter may not have won Friday's game, but he let the visitors from the City League know who he was. Going for 30 points, Arter nearly did enough to lead Lancaster over the undefeated Bulldogs at home. Through 10 games, Arter leads Lancaster with 19.6 points per game.

5. Terin Kinsway (So. SF, Delaware)

Performance: 27 points vs. Watkins Memorial

Kinsway delivered a career-high 27 points in a 62-44 Delaware win over Watkins Memorial. A powerfully built 6-foot-5 forward, Kinsway can do a little bit of everything on the floor, as he has stepped up greatly for the Pacers this season. Through 10 games, Kinsway is averaging 14.3 points per game.

6. Shaylin Waugh (Sr. PG, Harvest Prep)

Performance: 24 points vs. Marlington

Waugh continued a breakout senior season with 24 points in Harvest Prep's 66-56 win over Marlington. The younger brother of former Northland standout guard Shemar Waugh, Shaylin Waugh has been impressive all season long leading a Harvest Prep team that will be right there for a regional title in Division IV at the end of the year. Through nine games, Waugh is averaging 18.9 points per game.

7. Lucas House (Jr. SG, Dublin Jerome)

Performance: 23 points vs. Marion Harding

After suffering a loss to Bethel Park in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, Dublin Jerome would make sure it would not falter again on Friday. The reason for that was junior guard Lucas House, who continued a breakout junior season with 23 points to lead the Celtics over Marion Harding. An active and hard-nosed wing guard that is all over the floor on both ends, House has been impressive in our two viewings of him this season. House is averaging 12.6 points per game this season.
