A look at the top performers from the Pickerington North Holiday Classic

PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- The Pickerington North Holiday Classic featured a double header between Westerville North and Africentric and the host team Pickerington North took on Toledo Bowsher as the night cap. The night ended up being just that - a classic.

The first game was very close, as it included  six lead changes and came down to last minute with Westerville North edging Africentric 68-63.

The night cap was even better, literally coming down to the last seconds as Pickerington North junior forward Jerome Hunter made a contested game winner with four seconds remaining to lift the Panthers to victory over Toledo Bowsher.

Let's take a look at the top performers from the night.

Julius Brown (5'10 PG / Westerville North / 2018): Brown was on fire all night. At only 5’10, he showed an incredible ability to create his own shot off the dribble, as he has done all season. Brown led Westerville North with 17 points, as he continues a breakout junior season.

Landon Martin (6'2 SG / Africentric / 2017): Martin showed why was the City League's leading scorer at 22.5 points per game coming into Friday. Martin had a great second half, getting to the rim very well and finishing with 18 points to lead the way for the Nubians on the perimeter. Martin continues a breakout senior season in which he has led Africentric to a great start to the year.

Jah Bennett (6'6 PF / Africentric / 2018): Bennett was very impressive on Friday,  demanding double teams on every touch in the second half. Also impressive was Bennett's ability to knock down threes. He finished with 18 points as well for the Nubians. Look for Bennett's stock to keep growing as his skill set and confidence continue to expand.

Jerome Hunter (6'7 SF / Pickerington North / 2018): Hunter was the player of the night, seemingly scoring at will to lead Pickerington North. Hunter had an effortless 33 points, including a game-winner with four seconds remaining to lift the Panthers over Toledo Bowsher. Hunter added nine rebounds to his stat line, as he has had at least 20 points in every game in the last two weeks. Hunter seems to be in a zone right now, as he is mixing production with his skyhigh upside.
