LANCASTER, Ohio -- Jumping out to a 15-2 lead in Tuesday's foundation game at Lancaster, Dublin Jerome never looked back in a 64-40 win on the road. Behind 19 points from stud senior point guard Zach Watson, Dublin Jerome dominated from the opening tip in an impressive preseason showing.

Watson scored early and often, converting on a handful of tough driving lay ins through contact, as the 6-foot-2 senior point guard led all scorers. Watson's nine points in the first quarter helped Dublin Jerome establish a 24-13 lead after a quarter of play.

With the help of senior wing guard Kyle Burrier, Dublin Jerome kept Lancaster at bay for the rest of the night, as Burrier added an impressive 11 points, nine rebounds, six assists and three steals. The Celtics would also get double digits from junior power forward Andrew Golda, who finished with 10 points and a game-high four blocks.

Despite a hot start from Lancaster senior guard Jacob Arter, who knocked down four threes in the third quarter alone, Dublin Jerome continued to dominate, holding a 52-36 lead going into the final frame. The Celtics would cruise in the final quarter, running away with a 64-40 victory.

For Lancaster, Arter led all scorers with 15 points, all on three-point field goals. The athletic senior guard wouldn't get too much help on Tuesday, as the Golden Gales' second leading scorer junior forward Christian Bradford, who added eight points. Senior forward Rocky Jorgenson had a solid showing despite only scoring two points, showing strength underneath in leading the Gales in rebounding with eight boards.

With the win, Dublin Jerome picks up some momentum going into a 2016-17 season in which the Celtics should highly contend for the OCC-Cardinal title behind the talented senior point guard Watson.
