COLUMBUS, Ohio -- *calmly exhales*

Welcome back. Those are the only words I can muster up right now, thinking about the fact that high school basketball in Columbus (and the whole state) can officially begin practicing for the upcoming 2016-17 season. If by some odd chance this is your first time back on 270Hoops.com since Jordan Humphrey and Westerville South cut down the nets, then this is definitely a special welcome back to you. 

270 Hoops went under the technological knife in June of last year with the goal of becoming a better site for you, the fans. The great folks at SportEngine have been top-notch in our transition, getting everything set up. We hope to have up-to-date standings and schedules this year in close to real-time, along with the same great writing content from Zach, and occasionally I will add in my two cents. 

For some more longform content along with great storytelling, we will also be partnering up with Varsity Magazine from time to time during the year, and I definitely recommend them as a follow. I should mention that I am also on staff there full-time, but I will continue to produce a majority of the same content on game nights here, along with running the backend of the website as well. 

I would like to take this time to thank each and every one of you who have joined us on this road over the past 365-plus days, and continue to support us through an even bigger Year Two here at 270 Hoops. We wanted to build a site for Columbus basketball that gives the fans, parents, and coaches the best information possible, and we are working towards that goal every single day. I know I am biased, but there is nothing better than being in a loud gym in Columbus on a Friday night. I cannot wait for December 1.
