A recap of All-Star Sunday at Coach Vic's Weekly Showcase

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The best place for basketball on Sunday in Central Ohio was at All-Star Sunday at Coach Vic's Weekly Showcase. With 35 of the area's best talent competing in a variety of events, the first-time all-star showcase on Sunday was a good one.

Let's take a look at some of the event's winners.

Dunk Contest

The dunk contest was stellar on Sunday with Northland sophomore wing William Mfum pulling away from a loaded field of competition.

Mfum opened the competition with a perfect score of 100 on two dunks, showing incredible power, bounce and grace in the air. In the second round, Mfum and Eastmoor junior wing Taevion Kinsey each scored perfect 50s, which led to a highly-anticipated final round.

In the final round, Mfum and Kinsey were each tied at 89 after two dunks, which led to a dunk off to win it all. Mfum took home the title with a baseline cock-back slam in which the Northland wing sent home the most powerful dunk of the day.

Competitors included:

William Mfum (6'2 SG / Northland / 2019)

Taevion Kinsey (6'4 SG / Eastmoor / 2018)

Skills Challenge

The skills challenge featured nine high-quality point guards from all over the area, which timed the fastest players in an obstacle course type drill. The drill included a mid-range pull-up jumper, weaving ball-handling the length of the court, a three-point jump shot off a screen and a full-court sprint and finish.

In a battle of Dublin, Dublin Coffman freshman point guard Dominiq Penn took home the title, completing the drill in a record 19.3 seconds. Penn outdueled Dublin Jerome senior point guard Zach Watson, who finished with a time of 31.9 seconds, after leading all players in the first round.

Competitors included:
