A look at Worthington Kilbourne senior guard Gabe Watson

Emerging as a breakout guard in the OCC-Capital a season ago, Worthington Kilbourne senior point guard Gabe Watson has big plans for his final season in the blue and black. A dynamic scorer and lead guard, Watson has the tools to be a solid player at the next level. 

270 Hoops: What is your recruitment like? Who is showing the most interest?

Watson: I have gotten a lot of D3 interest and some D2 as well. Mostly Mount Vernon Nazarene, Capital and Findlay.

270 Hoops: Who is the best teammate you've ever played with?

Watson:  The best teammate I have ever played with was probably Drew George from last year's Kilbourne team.

270 Hoops: Toughest player you have ever had to guard?

Watson: CJ Prater (Whitehall, 2017)

270 Hoops: Toughest place to play so far in your career?

Watson: New Albany

270 Hoops: Favorite memory up to this point in your career?

Watson: Hitting the game-winner against Dublin Scioto last season.

270 Hoops: Favorite basketball player?

Watson: LeBron James

270 Hoops: What are your biggest strengths on the court?

Watson: My basketball IQ and my passing ability. 

270 Hoops: What separates you from other players in your class?

Watson: How well I see the court and how I make my other teammates better.

270 Hoops: Most disappointing moment of your career?

Watson: Losing off a game winner against New Albany in the tournament last year.

270 Hoops: What is your favorite social media platform?

Watson: Twitter.

270 Hoops: Favorite TV show growing up?

Watson: Danny Phantom.

270 Hoops: Who is your biggest role model or hero?

Watson: My older brother Cameron
