We take a quick look at games all across the area on the opening Tuesday of the year

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The first heavy midweek action of the boys basketball season took place on Tuesday night across the 614. Let's take a look at some of the results:

Reynoldsburg 87, Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary 80 (2OT)

Well then.

Olentangy Orange 53, New Albany 31

Behind a game-high 12 points from Devin Brown and building an impressive 49-19 lead through three quarters, Olentangy Orange (1-0) started perfect with a dominating 53-31 road win over New Albany (1-1). Braylen Nash scored nine points for the Eagles in the loss.

Grove City 59, Canal Winchester 50

Keegan Holmstrom, Kraig Gilbert and Demitri Adado combined for 43 points as the Greyhounds (1-1) used a 17-7 second quarter to propel themselves to a 59-50 win over Canal Winchester (0-1) on Tuesday night.

Westerville South 54, Dublin Coffman 49

Kruz McClure continued his hot stretch to start the year on Tuesday, going for 18 of his game-high 23 points in the second half, propelling Westerville South (1-1) to a 54-49 comeback win over Dublin Coffman. Colin McClure led the Shamrocks (1-1) with 18 points on the night.

Johnstown 68, Mt. Vernon 33

Senior guard Brady Barb hit nine threes and dropped a area-high 37 points as the Johnnies jumped out to a 31-8 first-quarter lead and never looked back as Johnstown (2-0) took down Mt. Vernon (1-0) 68-33 in non-league play.

Granville 55, Whitehall 52

Carson Murphy scored a game-high 15 points, and Jakob Culver hit this dagger three as time expired to give the Aces (1-0) a huge 55-52 road win at Whitehall. Dvontae Johnson (14 points) and Zamir Russell (12 points) led the Rams (2-0) in scoring in the loss.

Northridge 59, Liberty Union 30

Carter Mallernee dropped a game-high 22 points and Ethan Payne had a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds as the Vikings (1-0) opened their season campaign with a convincing 59-30 win over Liberty Union. Junior Noah Shook led the Lions (0-2) with a team-high 10 points.

Granville Christian 45, Delaware Christian 42

A 17-11 fourth quarter was the difference as Granville Christian picked up a win over Delaware Christian 45-42. Andrew Benvie finished with a game-high 14 points in the win for GCA (2-0). Junior Andrew Yoby had 12 points to lead Delaware Christian (1-1).
