A look at the latest power rankings in Division III

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- We enter into a big time week for Division III basketball with a few key ranked matchups on deck. Let's take a look at the latest top 10 in D3.

1. Africentric (13-4)
Last Week: No. 1 | 98 strength of record points | vs. Eastmoor Academy (6), @ Marion-Franklin (5)

The Nubians remain at No. 1 in this week's rankings. Africentric played Pickerington Central tough on Saturday, but fell by eight points. This week, they'll look to lock up at the very least a share of the City League South division title with two wins.

2. Worthington Christian (14-2)
Last Week: No. 2 | 92 strength of record points | @ #5 Kipp Columbus (9), vs. Whitehall (4)

Worthington Christian has the longest win streak in Division III at 12 games. That streak will be greatly tested on the road in a top five matchup against Kipp Columbus. Wednesday's non-conference game could be a preview of a district semifinal/final matchup.

3. Northridge (11-3)
Last Week: No. 3 | 54 strength of record points | vs. #7 Heath (7)

Northridge continues its best season in recent memory. The Vikings will have a top 10 matchup on deck against Heath. The Bulldogs enter riding high off last weekend's win over Utica, which should make this an intriguing matchup for Northridge.

4. Columbus Academy (12-2)
Last Week: No. 4 | 74 strength of record points | @ #1 (D4) Northside Christian (7), @ Buckeye Valley (7)

After falling to Bexley last week, Columbus Academy sits a game back of Worthington Christian in the MSL-Ohio league title race. They'll need to remain solid as they hit the road to take on Buckeye Valley to end the week, however, the non-league matchup at top ranked Division IV Northside Christian will be a challenge for the Vikings.

5. Kipp Columbus (11-3)
Last Week: No. 6 | 58 strength of record points | W vs. Horizon Science (5), vs. #2 Worthington Christian (8), @ Andrews Osborne (6)

The best season in program history continues this week, as Kipp Columbus knocked off Horizon Science on Monday. Wednesday's game against Worthington Christian is the biggest in school history, as the Jaguars will have the opportunity to secure a top 3 win, something that is not easily done in Division III. This team has played a challenging schedule and will be ready for a long tournament run.

6. Harvest Prep (10-6)
Last Week: No. 5 | 33 strength of record points | vs. Fisher Catholic (2)

Harvest Prep has dominated its league, going 9-0 in those games. However, the Warriors are just 1-6 outside of the league. With only one game on the schedule this week, Harvest Prep will have to wait awhile before another legitimate challenge. This will be a team nobody will want to play in March.

7. Heath (9-4)
Last Week: No. 8 } 59 strength of record points | vs. Licking Heights (7), @ #3 Northridge (9)

Heath picked up a signature win over Utica last week and has two more big opportunities on deck this week. The Bulldogs can rise up these rankings if they can go 2-0 this week, as a road win over a top three team would go a long way for Heath's resume.

8. Utica (9-5)
Last Week: No. 7 | 42 strength of record points | vs. #7 (D2) Granville (8), @ #6 (D2) Johnstown (9)

Utica has lost three-straight games and will have no easy games this week. With two ranked matchups against in-league Division II talent, Utica will have its work cut out for them to get back into the win column.

9. Grandview Heights (9-6)
Last Week: No. 8 | 46 strength of record points | vs. Wellington (2)

Grandview has struggled as of late, but will have a great opportunity to get back in the win column. A home matchup against winless Wellington is all that awaits this week. A much needed break for the end of season grind.

10. Fredericktown (10-6)
Last Week: NR | 40 strength of record points | @ Mount Gilead (5), @ Northmor (3)

Welcome to the top 10, Fredericktown! The Freddies are unbeaten in the KMAC, but like Harvest Prep, are just 1-6 outside of the league. We will need to see them beat another contender ahead of them to move much higher than this.
