A look at the top performers from Tuesday night

WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- The first ever match-up between Westerville South and Harvest Prep came down to the final minute, as the Wildcats secured a three point victory.

Both teams had future collegiate talent on display, from the senior class all the way down to a couple standout sophomores.

For more on Tuesday night's top performers, let's take a look at the Prospect Scouting Report

Jadi Cunningham Jr. (Westerville South / 5'11 PG / 2023) The MVP of the evening, Cunningham simply had a really nice feel for the game, something any coach should want from their point guard. Cunningham had a well-rounded performance, as he scored 14 points along with six rebounds, four assists and three steals. Offensively, he showed a smooth touch around the basket and from mid-range. As a passer, Cunningham did a nice job looking up court, pushing the ball in transition and has good overall visual instincts. Even at just under six feet, Cunningham is active on the glass and rebounds relatively well for his size. One of the most crucial plays of the evening was late in the fourth when he missed a free throw, but sprung towards the glass and finished his own rebound. Cunningham is very thin and will need to add some strength at the next level, but we like how he competes and his ability to make plays. The Wildcat is worth a look for Division III programs.

Kruz McClure (Westerville South / 6'1 Combo Guard / 2025) Not even halfway through his high school basketball career, it's become evident that the sophomore guard could be one of the better area players in the 2025 class. McClure is very composed and has good, natural instincts that seem a bit advanced for his age. He was the Wildcats top scorer, as he led with 18 points. While he struggled to shoot from long distance, excluding one deep three, McClure's confidence never wavered and was impressively effective off the dribble. McClure had a very quick first step and collected buckets around the rim, as he finished well off spin moves and would often times blow past his defender. Certain players have that "It" factor and we think we see it from McClure. That's why we think he has the potential to be a Division I prospect.

JuJuan Ray (Westerville South / 6'6 Wing / 2023) It's taken a bit of time for Ray to develop into a consistent threat, but his performance on Tuesday was one of the best we've seen from him and offered a glimpse of his upside and potential. Tall and lanky at 6'6, Ray is a really good athlete for his size. He showed good hands, ran the floor well and was our Hustle Player of the Game due to his collection of steals. His crossover, step-back three pointer was perhaps the highlight of the day. A goal for the senior wing is to put together these type of performances on a consistent basis. He'll also need to add some strength to defend players his size at the next level. For Division III and NAIA programs that can help develop and strengthen players, Ray has begun to showcase his skills and athleticism with the potential to become a really good player in a couple years.

Nyelle Shaheed (Harvest Prep / 6'5 Forward / 2023) The best big man on the floor Tuesday, at times Shaheed was really difficult to contain. A physical and aggressive player, the 6'5 forward led all scorers with 22 points, 17 of which came in the second half that helped spark the Warriors comeback efforts. Shaheed had his way in the post, but also showcased a good outside game as he finished with two made three-point attempts and also an impressive step-back midrange. An emotional player, Shaheed is competitive, versatile and has good strength. The Harvest Prep senior would be a great fit anywhere at the JUCO, NAIA or Division III level.

Brandon Roddy (Harvest Prep / 6'1 Combo Guard / 2025) Not even the best players have the best four quarters each game. So when Roddy picked up two borderline foul calls early in the first quarter, I was eager to see how the sophomore standout would respond. Roddy passed the test. While his offensive game picked up in the second half, he displayed excellent effort on the defensive end at all times. The 6'1 guard looked the part of a strong on-ball defender, as he applied great pressure and forced his way towards seven total steals. Roddy has really sound handles that allowed him to be a floor general as he finished with 11 points and three assists. We can see why Xavier offered the sophomore back in July and see his potential as a Division I prospect. As he continues to become a more consistent outside shooter, Roddy looks the part of a high quality two-way guard.
