We take a look at the latest power rankings in Division I heading into Week 2

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Here are the latest Division I power rankings as we head into Week 2 of basketball in Central Ohio.

1. Pickerington Central (1-1): The Tigers have a loaded week of basketball. They'll start at home on Tuesday with a rematch of the Division I regional final when a young, but talented Gahanna Lincoln comes to town. Central will end the weekend with two more home games against Central Crossing and Trotwood Madison.

2. Olentangy Orange (2-0): Orange will be tested majorly this week with two road games in the city of Dublin, first on Tuesday against No. 3 Dublin Jerome and then on Friday at Dublin Coffman. A 4-0 start to the year with Orange's schedule would be very impressive.

3. Dublin Jerome (2-1): With its lone loss to Sycamore on its resume, Jerome picked up two quality wins last week against St. Charles and Thomas Worthington. The Celtics can defend home court in a major way this week with matchups against Olentangy Orange and Ohio State commit Austin Parks and St. Mary's Memorial, sandwiched between a road matchup at Marysville on Friday.

4. Westerville North (1-0): The Warriors trailed by a point after one quarter against Franklin Heights, before rolling by nearly 40. This team is uber talented and has all the pieces to make a deep run this year. We'll know more about how ready they are to win when they take on No. 5 Delaware Hayes and Westerville South on the road this week.

5. Delaware Hayes (4-0): The surprise of the early season, Hayes has been absolutely rolling through four games. The Pacers will be tested in a major way this week with a home matchup against Westerville North on Tuesday, before heading to unbeaten Worthington Kilbourne on Friday.

6. Hilliard Bradley (2-0): Bradley basketball is back. The Jags held Upper Arlington to single digits in the first half last Friday in a 20-point win. Bradley has two favorable matchups this week at home against Westland and on the road against Hilliard Davidson.

7. Newark (3-1): Newark was not able to make it two years in a row of knocking off Pickerington Central in the OCC opener. They can bounce back from Friday's loss with road matchups this week against talented Olentangy Berlin and No. 9 Reynoldsburg.

8. St. Charles (1-2): Some may see 1-2 and wonder why St. Charles is here. Their schedule through three games? Home against Cincinnati Moeller and road games against No. 2 Olentangy Orange and No. 3 Dublin Jerome. This team is challenging itself greatly in the early season and will host No. 2 (D2) Bishop Watterson in the CCL opener on Friday.

9. Reynoldsburg (2-1): The Raiders picked up wins against Groveport Madison and Licking Heights last week and will be challenged by two traditional powers this week. Reynoldsburg will get to host Dublin Coffman and No. 7 Newark this week, as we'll see if this young team is ready to compete at a major level or not.

10. Pickerington North (2-0): The Panthers picked up a gritty tough win against Westerville Central last Friday. This week they'll be heavily favored in a home matchup against Westland on Friday and on the road at Toledo Scott on Saturday for a homecoming for head coach Jason Bates.

11. South (3-0): The Bulldogs look to be back, as they've raced past all three opponents to begin the year. South kicks off City League play this week with matchups against West and Eastmoor Academy, games they should both win.

12. Gahanna Lincoln (2-0): Despite graduating its entire starting five and all-time leading scorer Sean Jones, Gahanna Lincoln is back to competing at a high level. The Lions have a quality win against Westerville South on its resume already, and could really shock the area if they are to go on the road and knock off top-ranked Pickerington Central on Tuesday. Friday's home matchup against New Albany could be interesting, as the Eagles knocked off previously No. 8 Grove City last week.
