The Nominees

Charlie Russell (Bishop Ready) The junior capped off a fantastic regular season with a team leading 20 points in a 55-30 win over Bishop Hartley to outright win the CCL. Russell also scored six points in a 35 point win over Kipp Columbus three days prior.  The Silver Knights enter the district tournament as legitimate championship contenders.

Abby Adkins (Johnstown) The sophomore willed the Johnnies to victory, as she scored 11 of her 20 points in the fourth towards a 43-39 sectional final win over Fairbanks. Adkins has had an excellent season for Johnstown and leads her team in scoring.

Kylie White (Licking Valley) The senior had a career high 29 points in a 54-48 sectional win over Lakewood. She also added eight points in a 59-34 win over Liberty Union three nights before.

Ashley Deweese (Teays Valley) The senior point guard had an excellent performance in a big 58-40 win over Westerville North in the sectional finals. Deweese scored 18 of her 22 points in the second half and was perfect on all nine of her free throw attempts.

Chloe Jeffers (Delaware Hayes) Jeffers super season continues to stay en fuego as combined for 72 points in her first two postseason games, starting with 41 against Thomas Worthington, followed by a 31 point outing versus Watkins Memorial. The senior is one of the top scorers in Central Ohio.

Alyssa Gest (Upper Arlington) Gest had a career night against Northland as she dropped 28 points in a 44-38 playoff win. The senior was lethal behind the arc, as she hit six triples and went 8-of-9 at the free throw line.

Tegan Myers (Logan) Three games in three straight days led to three solid performances for Myers. In games against Jackson, Sheridan and Watkins Memorial, two of which the Chieftains won, Myers combined for 62 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and five steals and was an impressive 24-of-26 at the charity stripe.
