COLUMBUS, Ohio -- LA Walker has been dominant all season and does not seem to be slowing anytime soon.

In an unfortunate loss to Northland on Friday night, Walker went off once again, scoring 35 points and grabbing 18 rebounds.

At 6-foot-4, Walker is one of the most dominant guards in the entire City League. The senior wing scores it from every level as he can hit shots from outside but is at his best when he is driving downhill and creating offense inside.

While the senior has always been a major contributor for Linden-McKinley at the varsity level, he is really starting to figure things out this year.

To put it into perspective, we have 10 box scores from Linden-McKinley last season and Walker only scored 20+ points in two of those games.

This season, on the other hand, Walker has 11 games where he has scored 20 or more points and two games where he has scored 30+ points.

In last night's contest against Northland, the senior also pulled down 18 rebounds. Walker is an extreme competitor as he will do whatever it takes for his team to win.

Despite two tough City League North losses this week, Linden-McKinley is enjoying a great season and Walker is a major part of that.

The Panthers will not have a chance to compete for a City North title now, however they will be a major threat in the Division II district tournament. With guys like Walker and LB Towns leading the way, the sky is the limit for this talented squad.

Outside of Walker's 35 points, multiple other players in Central Ohio went off last night, so let's take a look at some of the top performances below.

Ayden Parsons (6'1 HG / Worthington Kilbourne / 2022): Nearly outscoring his opponent last night, Parsons exploded for 33 points as Worthington Kilbourne took down Delaware Hayes 53-40. Some people may have doubted the Wolves after graduating so much following last season, however Parsons is proving that they can sustain the success this season. Worthington Kilbourne currently sits at third place in a very tough OCC-Capital division and Parsons has played a major role in that, putting up some big time numbers throughout the season. Small colleges in the region should be all over Parsons as he has a ton of experience, has good size and has a great understanding of the game.

Drey Carter (6'8 DF / Westerville South / 2022): In a huge rivalry game with big OCC-Capital implications on the line, Carter proved he was the best player on the floor last night, pouring in 31 points to lead Westerville South to a huge win over Westerville North. While Carter is a knockdown shooter who can get his shot off over just about anyone in the area, the senior used his size to his advantage last night. Converting on eight two point field goals and knocking down one triple in the contest, Carter came up clutch and buried 12 free-throws to help power his squad to an overtime win. The Wright State commit is one of the most versatile players in the area as he offers a really unique skillset at 6-foot-8. Despite being the only undefeated team left in Central Ohio, some folks still don't believe Westerville South is the area's top team and Carter will look to prove them wrong as we head more and more towards the postseason.

Sean Jones (5'10 PG / Gahanna / 2022): Jones made history last night, pouring in 30 points against New Albany and surpassing Stevie Taylor to become the all-time leading scorer in Gahanna Lincoln history. Entering the game needing 29 points to tie the record, Jones was dominant from start to finish. Nailing shots from three, scoring in the mid-range and getting to the rim at will, New Albany had no matchup for the senior on his special night. When he was two points away from the record he began seeing double and even triple teams, but two late free throws helped him surpass the mark and check another record off of the list at Gahanna. Jones is a really special player as guards with his talent do not come around often. In a program that has graduated guys like Taylor, Nick Ward, Josh Corbin and Javon Bess amongst many others, becoming Gahanna's all-time leading scorer is a huge feat for the senior. If you're a basketball fan in Central Ohio and you have never seen Jones play, go do it. He is well worth the price of admission.

Cooper Davis (6'5 SG / Olentangy Liberty / 2022): Davis turned in arguably the most important performance of the night in Central Ohio on Friday. Going off for 30 points, Davis powered Olentangy Liberty to a huge win over Upper Arlington that gave them sole possession of first place in the OCC-Central. Only converting on seven field goals in the contest, Davis nailed four triples and converted from inside the three-point line on three different occasions while also knocking down 12 free throws. After starting the season 0-5, Olentangy Liberty has really turned things around, winning eight of their last nine games and taking over first place in the OCC-Central last night. The Toledo commit Davis is as vital to their winning as anyone on the roster as the sky is the limit for the Patriots when he is putting up numbers like he did last night.

Rob Dorsey III (5'10 PG / Northland / 2022): Dorsey continued to dominate last night, scoring 30 points to lead Northland to a huge City League North win over Linden-McKinley. The senior guard was consistent throughout the entire contest, scoring 17 points in the first half and 13 in the second half to help Northland secure the win late. Dorsey is a really talented guard with the ability to create for himself and others. He has really taken over the scoring load for Northland this season, putting up some really impressive numbers and leading the Vikings to success under first-year head coach Tihon Johnson. Northland has now won eight straight games and has the chance to capture a City North title if they can win out and if Linden-McKinley can take down Beechcroft next week.
