COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Evan Dozer did what he does best once again last night.

Going off for 31 points in an MSL-Buckeye win over Teays Valley, the Bloom-Carroll senior continued his dominant senior season and highlights this edition of stars of the night.

Dozer has been one of the most dominant players in the area all season and based on the box scores that we have, he leads the area in total points scored this season as he has now tallied 406 on the year after last night's performance.

Dozer has now scored 20 or more points in 13 straight games and scored 25+ in six of those thirteen games.

At 6-foot-2, Dozer is an extremely efficient guard with a good build. He has the ability to create his own shot and does it from all over the floor as he is a consistent shooter who can also get inside and absorb contact for some tough buckets.

We love watching Dozer play as he does not take too many shots and gets things done in a really efficient manner, a large reason that Bloom-Carroll has been so successful this season.

Multiple players in the area in Division II have been very dominant this season and Dozer will certainly be in contention for Central District player of the year honors.

While he does not plan to play at the next level, we are really excited to track the senior guard for the remainder of the season. Not many players in the area are doing what he is this year as Dozer is looking to lead Bloom-Carroll to an MSL-Buckeye title and possibly a district title in Division II.

Dozer was not the only player putting up big numbers on Tuesday, however, so lets take a look at some other standout scoring performances in the area.

Quinn Corna (6'3 HG / Upper Arlington / 2022): Corna turned in one of his best performances all year on Tuesday night, scoring a season-high 29 points to help lead Upper Arlington to a 69-47 win over Chillicothe. The 6-foot-3 guard scored it in multiple ways for the Golden Bears in the contest, nailing 10 two-point field goals to go along with two triples and three shots from the free throw line. Corna is a talented and experienced hybrid guard with the ability to create offense for himself and others. He has been a major contributor for Upper Arlington throughout his high school career and has the Golden Bears enjoying an excellent season in his senior campaign. Corna is an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on as he is really coming into his own this year.

Dennis Asoro (6'8 traditional big / Eastmoor / 2022): Asoro continued his monster senior campaign on Tuesday night as he went off for 28 points, 19 rebounds and two blocks in a win over Independence. The senior big man is one of the most forcefully dominant players in the entire state. Not many teams in the City League have a matchup for the size and skill of Asoro inside as he has put up 89 points and 68 rebounds in Eastmoor's last four games. Now averaging 20 points and 16 rebounds per game on the season, Asoro is a prospect that JUCO's should be drooling over. He is a late bloomer who will only continue to improve as the sky is truly the limit for this kid.

Dailyn Swain (6'8 SG / Africentric / 2023): Swain did what he was expected to do last night in a matchup against an overpowered West team, pouring in 27 points to help lead Africentric to a 68-21 victory. After scoring just nine points in the first half, the junior exploded for an 18 point third quarter where he hit two triples and converted on a bunch of easy buckets from inside the arc. Swain should dominate in City League games like this as Tuesday's 27 point showing comes to no surprise for anyone. While Africentric has a matchup with Marion-Franklin on Friday night, Swain will receive arguably his toughest test of the entire season on Saturday evening when Pickerington Central comes to town to take on the Nubians.

KJ Satterfield (6'2 HG / Whitehall / 2023): Despite a loss to Reynoldsburg last night, Satterfield led all scorers in the contest with 27 points. The junior transfer from Cincinnati Oak Hills is really beginning to come into his own for the Rams. Satterfield has scored 26+ points in three of Whitehall's last four games and does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon as last night's performance was against a really solid Reynoldsburg team. After being held scoreless in the first quarter and scoring just three first half points all via free throws, the junior guard really turned things on in the second half. He knocked down five triples on his way to 24 second half points although it was not enough for the win. Satterfield is a really intriguing 2023 guard that scholarship programs will be impressed with.
