CHOOSE FROM SIX NOMINEES FOR THEIR PERFORMANCES FROM JANUARY 17-JANUARY 24

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The 270 Hoops Player of the Week poll is back and we're looking to find out who was the best player from the past week. The players listed below were nominated by social media followers and input from the 270 Hoops staff.

To be nominated for Player of the Week, please tweet at @270Hoops with your nominee and their full stat line for game(s) from the prior week before Sunday at 3 PM.

This week's poll will go on through Thursday. You can vote each day. The player with the most votes will win Player of the Week!

The Nominees

Sonny Styles (Pickerington Central) As he participates in his final high school season before he early enrolls at Ohio State to play football, Styles was a menace in back-to-back wins for the Tigers this past weekend. First, Styles was the driving force behind Pickerington Central's revenge win over Newark on Friday with 10 points and suffocating defense. He followed that performance with another solid defensive outing and 18 points over Cincinnati Taft. The Tigers are the area's top ranked team as opponents are having a difficult time overcoming Styles' elite athleticism.

Imarianah Russell (Reynoldsburg) There may not be a more dominant player in girls basketball currently than Russell. The West Virginia commit was in a league of her own this past weekend, scoring 28 points versus Groveport, followed by a 31 point outing over Africentric. Russell also gets it done beyond scoring, as she combined for 26 rebounds, 18 steals and 7 blocks in the two wins. The Raiders are 14-2 and with a player like Russell on hand, their postseason aspirations continue to remain high.

Abbie Bell (Olentangy Berlin) In two wins for the Bears, the junior rang the bell (sorry, pun intended) in a much needed way. On Tuesday, Bell scored 20 points, had eight rebounds and four assists in a victory of Westerville Central. She followed with another quality all-around outing and scored 14 points, along with eight rebounds and two steals in a win over district rival Olentangy. The elevated play from Bell has been crucial, as the Bears were able to pull off two straight wins after losing the previous 11.

Mikayla Linkous (Cardington) The senior was hero of the day on Saturday after she hit a buzzer-beater three to defeat Fredericktown 40-37. The game winning shot came on the heels of an 19 point performance, which included five made triples. This followed a close loss on Tuesday to River Valley, Cardington's first of the season, in which Linkous was her team's leading scorer. Linkous is a three sport athlete and will play softball next season at Cal U of PA.

Cade Norris (Hilliard Bradley) It was only a matter of time, but here come the Jaguars. After starting the season 2-3, the Jags have won ten straight and Norris has become a star in the making along the way. He had perhaps his best game so far this season when he poured in 33 points in a big league win over Upper Arlington on Friday. The sophomore followed that with an efficient 12 point outing in a quality non-conference win against Africentric. The Jaguars are now one game out of first place in the OCC Central and will continue to build from the excellent play of Norris, who is quickly establishing himself as one of the best sophomores in the state.

Amani Lyles (Beechcroft): The 6'8 senior has been on a rampage as of late, leading Beechcroft to big win after big win. Lyles has scored 70 points in his last three games, all wins for the Cougars who enjoy a two-game lead in the City League North. Lyles has been a primetime performer for the last two seasons and is looking to go out with a second district title in three years.
