COLUMBUS, Ohio -- For the first time all season, we have a stars of the night edition where the largest scoring performance was attained by more than one player.

While this portion of the article typically highlights the top scorer of the night, this time around it will feature both Delaware Hayes senior Alexis Amabile and New Hope Christian sophomore Maren McCalister.

McCalister scored over half of her teams points on Friday night as she went for 29 in a 48-42 win over Grandview, while Amabile dropped 29 of her own as Delaware Hayes picked up a one point league win over Dublin Scioto.

Neither one of these players are strangers to this article as this is not the first appearance for either.

Amabile is a high volume scorer who can really put up a lot of points when she gets hot from deep. She is one of the more deadly shooters in the area and is capable of getting buckets either off the bounce or within the rhythm of the offense.

She has put up some excellent numbers this season as she is averaging nearly 22 points a night and has scored more than 25 on six occasions.

While we are yet to cover a New Hope Christian girls game, McCalister is a player who we have become familiar with through writing these articles as she has put together some impressive outings this season.

Doing all of her work from within the three-point line, the 5-foot-10 guard converted on 10 two-point field goals and went 9-for-11 at the line, which included six foul shots to ice the game late.

Just a sophomore, McCalister is a player who we are going to have our eyes on moving forward as she has been enjoying an excellent season this year.

While these two ladies put together big performances to lead their team's to victory last night, there were several other impressive showings, so let's take a look at them below.

La'Briar Franklin-Paige (5'7 G / Beechcroft / 2021): In a blowout win over Mifflin on Friday night, Franklin-Paige led all scorers in the contest as she went for 25 points. One of the better guards in the City League, the play of Franklin-Paige has Beechcroft rolling as the Cougars are 6-0 and will get a shot to play for a city title next Saturday when they take on Africentric in the City League championship. The senior guard has turned in performances of 25, 21 and 31 points so far this season, as she is certainly making the most of the City League's return to play decision and has her sights set on cutting down the nets next weekend.

Mya Perry (5'11 WG / Reynoldsburg / 2022): In a blowout win over Lancaster on Friday night, the Ohio State commit Perry led all scorers with 23 points in the contest. Hitting one three and connecting on 10 two-point field goals, Perry scored a little bit in every quarter as the Raiders rolled in a game that there was never any doubt they would win. A very skilled offensive player, Perry can score from all three levels, is a capable ball handler and also gets her teammates involved when necessary. On a loaded Reynoldsburg roster, Perry is an extremely important piece of the puzzle and she has been playing very well lately.

Other Notable Scorers:

Ariyah Douglas

  • Emma McClean (5'8 G / Lakewood / 2022): 21 points in a 45-43 win over Johnstown
  • Amari Martin (5'4 G / Westerville North / 2021): 21 points in a 47-45 win over Big Walnut
  • Ariyah Douglas (5'9 PG / Marion Harding / 2021): 20 points in a 56-51 win over River Valley
  • Alexia Mobley (6'2 PF / Reynoldsburg / 2022): 20 points in a 99-38 win over Lancaster
  • Imarianah Russell (5'11 PG / Reynoldsburg / 2022): 20 points in a 99-38 win over Lancaster
