COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Leading off this Tuesday's edition of stars of the night, we have a 40 ball for the second week in a row.

After Olentangy Liberty senior guard Caitlin Splain hit a state record 14 three's last week and went off for 45 points, Whitehall's Jewel Watkins exploded for 40 points in a league win over Whitehall on Tuesday night.

While there was never any doubt Whitehall would win the game as they rolled 87-28, 40 points from Watkins is one of the most impressive showings we have seen all season as you rarely see a single player outscore an entire team, nonetheless outscore them by double digits.

One of the fastest rim to rim players in the entire state, Watkins is an elite level athlete who can take over a game at any point when she's attacking the rim as she did last night.

Watkins is also a high level defender and has the capability to extend her game beyond the three-point line and work in the mid-range.

When she has her entire game working, Watkins is nightmare to anyone in the MSL-Ohio to defend as she can hurt you in so many different ways.

Despite losing a key player to transfer in the offseason, Watkins and Whitehall have still picked up some impressive wins and have a chance to win a league title if they can get hot and someone can knock off Worthington Christian.

While she highlights this weeks edition of stars of the night, several other girls put up big showings in the area last night, so let's take a look at them below.

Imarianah Russell (5'11 G / Reynoldsburg / 2022): Making a statement on Tuesday in a big win over Westerville South, Russell went off for 32 points to lead Reynoldsburg. Despite being held to just three in the first quarter, she turned it up in the second quarter by scoring 15 of her team's 25 points in the quarter to help them take a lead into halftime. Russell continued her hot streak into the third as she scored nine in the frame to build a lead that Reynoldsburg felt comfortable heading into the fourth with. One of the most talented 2022 prospects in the entire state, Russell can score in any way and is a physically gifted nightmare matchup for anyone to be in front of. When she is on, Reynoldsburg's offense is in rhythm as was the case on Tuesday night.

Amaris Lowery (5'11 WG / Dublin Jerome / 2021): Leading all scorers with 23 points, Lowery led Dublin Jerome to a big win over New Albany on Tuesday night. Despite being held to just three points in the first half, the senior did her work in the final two quarters, scoring seven in the third and 13 in the fourth to help the Celtics pick up the win. Scoring in several ways, Lowery hit three triples, five two-point field goals and went four-for-four from the line down the stretch to ice the game. While we haven't had a chance to check out Dublin Jerome yet, we hope to get eyes on Lowery sometime before the end of the season.

Skye Williams (5'10 G / Pickerington Central / 2021): Helping lead Pickerington Central to a blowout league win over Groveport Madison on Tuesday, Williams poured in 21 points for the Tigers. A talented with the ability to score in multiple ways, Williams solely did her work from beyond the arc last night, nailing seven triples on her way to the 21 point showing. After playing under some great players at Pickerington Central early on in her career, Williams is one of the go-to options for the Tigers this season and they seem to excel most when she is making the most of her touches. Committed to Purdue, Williams is a top 100 prospect nationally according to ESPN and her play will be vital if the Tigers want to reach the heights the program was at a couple of years ago.
