COLUMBUS, Ohio -- There's a new name to know in Carroll, Ohio.

Just a week after highlighting our Tuesday night stars of the night article when he scored a career-high 30 points, Bloom-Carroll junior guard Evan Dozer is back this week.

Dropping 27 points on Tuesday night, Dozer led the Bulldogs to a big league win over Liberty Union.

A talented scorer from all three levels, the junior guard put that on display against Liberty Union as he nailed three shots from deep and scored in a couple of other ways.

After Bloom-Carroll graduated star guard Otto Kuhns following last season, some people may have had doubts about who their new go-to guy could be, but Dozer seems more than ready to step into that role as his stock has really been rising over the last two weeks.

At 6-foot-2, Dozer is a competitive two-way guard with good athletic tools as he moves well and isn't afraid to play physical. We are excited to see how he continues to progress throughout this season and next year as he really is starting to come into his own.

Despite Bloom-Carroll trailing Logan Elm by a few games in the MSL-Buckeye race, the Bulldogs have some really talented guards and could surprise some people come tournament time.

While Dozer highlights this week's Tuesday edition of stars of the night once again, there were lots of other excellent performances in the area, so let's take a look at them below.

Gavin Foe (6'3 WG / Johnstown / 2021): Continuing his dominance of the LCL this season, Foe went off for 26 points on Tuesday as Johnstown picked up a big league win over Watkins Memorial. After being held to just six points in the first half and seeing his team head into the locker room down at the break, Foe turned things up in the second half. Scoring nine points in the third quarter and 11 points in the fourth, the Marian commit went for 20 second half points to fuel a big Johnstown run that allowed them to come out on top. A player with great athleticism, strength and quickness, Foe is a matchup nightmare for most teams in the LCL and that has certainly been the case this season. Converting on 11 two-point field goals and going four-for-six from the line on Tuesday, it is safe to assume that Watkins Memorial likely had no matchup for Foe inside in the second half. On a team looking to repeat as district champions this season, Foe is as important as anyone and has exceeded expectations this year.

Ajay Sheldon (6'1 PG / Dublin Coffman / 2022): While he is not the top scorer in this article, Sheldon arguably had the most impressive performance of anyone in the area on Tuesday night. Going for 24 points against one of the best defenses in the state in Hilliard Bradley, Sheldon led Dublin Coffman to a huge win at home. Coming into the contest, Hilliard Bradley had won their last 61 OCC conference games dating all the way back to January 22nd, 2016, a streak that certainly had the chance to extend all the way through this season. Playing aggressive against a defense that a lot of people like to stall against, Sheldon heated up and even nailed a three from near the volleyball line late in the contest. With a crafty handle, an excellent shot and the ability to score on his own and create for others, Sheldon is one of the more talented guards in the area and is enjoying an excellent season.

Alex Coffey (6'1 WG / Grove City / 2021): Helping lead Grove City to their most impressive win of the season on Tuesday, Coffey led all scorers with 24 points as the Greyhounds took down Whitehall 65-52. We are really glad to see a performance like this out of Coffey as he has battled injuries all season long and has somewhat struggled to find a groove this year. This very well could be the coming out party for the senior this season as he has the ability to make a difference on both ends when healthy as we saw during his sophomore and junior seasons. Nailing two three's, connecting on eight two-point field goals and hitting two free throws on Tuesday, Coffey did a little bit of everything in Grove City's big win.

Caleb Sheriff (5'10 WG / Fredericktown / 2021): Despite Fredericktown suffering a tough loss to Centerburg last night, Sheriff put together an impressive performance as he led all scorers with 24 points in the contest.  In a tough first half for both teams, Sherriff made sure the Freddies didn't fall too far behind at any point as he scored 15 of the team's 20 points in the first half. Making his mark felt most with his shooting, the senior guard hit five triples from deep and was the most impressive shooter in the gym throughout the contest. On a Fredericktown team that has enjoyed a really solid season, Sheriff is a talented two-way guard who gets it done consistently for the Freddies.
