COLUMBUS, Ohio -- If you read our stars of the night articles every week, then you know by this point that Delaware Hayes senior Alexis Amabile gets buckets.

Amabile has now made an appearance in all three of these articles so far and this time she leads the pack as she went off for 33 points last night in an unfortunate losing effort to Westerville North.

Amabile is a volume shooter who can put up huge numbers when she gets hot and that has certainly been on display as of late.

The senior wing has went for 21+ points in each of Delaware Hayes last five games, four of which were wins. She scored 30 on one other occasion as well when she exploded for 36 points in a tight win over Upper Arlington.

When she lets the game come to her and makes it a point to get teammates involved as well then Amabile turns Delaware Hayes into a very dangerous team as she is the engine that makes the train go for the Pacers.

While she highlights this Tuesday night's edition of stars of the night, there were several other big time performances in the area last night, so let's take a look at some of them below.

Hannah Logan (5'10 WG / River Valley / 2022): In an unfortunate double overtime loss to Loudonville last night, Logan went off for a season-high 31 points. Nailing one three pointer and two-point field goals, she junior scored in a variety of ways as she dueled it out with Loudonville's Grace Vermilya, who led all scorers with 38 points. Logan also made fourteen free throws at an efficient rate and came up with several steals in the contest. While last night was her first big scoring outburst of the season, Logan has certainly got our eyes on her moving forward.

Casey Humphrey (5'2 PG / Groveport Madison / 2021): After impressing us last Saturday in a showdown with a loaded Reynoldsburg team, Humphrey was back at it again last night. The senior guard nearly outscored Lancaster in a league win, tallying 26 points in a 48-26 win over the Lady Gales. The senior leader of a Groveport Madison team with some pieces, Humphrey is a three level scorer and a dynamic ball handler who knows how to get others involved. She is a solid perimeter defender and despite not being one the biggest guards around, Humphrey always seems to get hers every night. If she continues to excel, we expect the Lady Cruisers to continue to pick up some impressive wins.

Caitlin Splain (5'9 G / Olentangy Liberty / 2021): Leading all scorers with 25 points in an impressive win over Upper Arlington last night, Splain pieced together an impressive performance for the Lady Patriots. Scoring nearly half of her points in the first quarter, the senior guard got hot early on as she outscored Upper Arlington in the first frame by herself with 12 points. Catching fire from deep, Splain hit five triples in the contest and also converted on a few two-point field goals while going a perfect four-for-four from the free throw line. Splain and the talented core at Olentangy Liberty have us wanting to get eyes on the Lady Patriots at some point soon.

Mary Ferrito (2022 G / Jonathan Alder): In a tough loss to Mechanicsburg last night, Ferrito put together an impressive showing as she had a team-high 24 points for Jonathan Alder. A talented guard who can create offense for herself and get other involved, she nailed a pair of three's in the contest, came up with three assists and also took away three steals. Ferrito is a talented guard who can score near the rim and from the perimeter, as she is shooting an efficient 40% from beyond the arc this season. We are excited to check out the junior and an intriguing Jonathan Alder team at some point this season as she has also put up big showings such as a 29 point outburst against Tecumseh in the Lady Pioneers last game.

Other Notable Scorers:

  • Brooklyn Mosher (5'9 G / River Valley / 2021): 24 points in a double overtime loss to Loudonville
  • Maren McCallister (5'10 PG / New Hope Christian / 2023): 20 points in a 41-37 win over Amanda-Clearcreek
