COLUMBUS, Ohio -- If you're a center in the area who wants to be considered one of the best around, you're gonna have to prove it to Aja Austin.

After scoring 76 points in the three games prior, Austin absolutely dominated once again on Friday night in a huge 87-21 win for the Lady Wildcats.

Doing what she does best, Austin was a force on the interior, cleaning up the glass on both ends of the floor and finishing an efficient number of chances near the rim on her way to a 28 point, 13 rebound showing.

It seems as if every time I open up my Twitter feed Austin has notched another double-double as the Delaware commit has consistently shown up for Westerville South everyday this year.

After losing current Ohio State women's freshman Gabby Hutcherson to graduation last season, Austin has helped the program remain at a high level as they are in position to compete for a district title once again.

Several other girls had excellent showing outside of Austin on Friday night however, so let's take a look at who else stood out around the city.

Kat Weakley (5'10 WG / Worthington Christian / 2021): Dominating yet again for Worthington Christian last night, Weakley went off for 28 points in a 70-16 league win over Grandview. Committed to Lipscomb, Weakley is one of the better players in the area as she can score from all three levels, plays with a high IQ and can handle the ball and finish with both hands. On a Worthington Christian team with a ton of valuable pieces, Weakley is the most valuable and will look to continue to help the Lady Warriors reach new heights this year as last night was the second time this season she has dropped 28 points.

Jenna Kopyar (5'10 PG / Dublin Coffman / 2023): One of the absolute best sophomore point guards in the area, Kopyar went off once again on Friday night with 25 points in a big 74-46 win over rival Upper Arlington. Kopyar has some serious skill, as she can handle it at a high level, pass it, finish with either hand and score from all three levels. With her combination of size and shiftiness at the guard spot, Kopyar is a matchup nightmare for many guards and that was certainly the case last night against Upper Arlington.

Mya Perry (5'11 G / Reynoldsburg / 2022): Leading all scorers in a 100-11 dominating win over Central Crossing on Friday night, the Ohio State commit Perry finished with 24 points on the night. Perry is one the area's top players and on a Reynoldsburg team full of studs, could be the leading scorer on any given night. Perry makes her impact felt on both ends of the floor, as the junior can score in any way offensively and can really disrupt you on the defensive perimeter. We are excited to get another look at the junior and this year's Reynoldsburg squad this afternoon when they host Groveport Madison.

Lauren Scott (5'7 PG / Worthington Kilbourne / 2022): One of the area's best scorers so far this season, Scott impressed once again last night with 23 points in a tough loss to Westerville North. Scott is a volume shooter who can seriously fill it up when she get's going, as she has put up several 30 point outings so far this season. Scoring 12 of her 23 points in the first quarter last night, Scott got it done in multiple ways, nailing three triples, hitting a shot from the mid-range and getting by defenders for some tough finishes inside. The granddaughter of former Ohio State and Maryland coach Gary Williams, Scott is a prospect for programs to take a look at moving forward.

Other Notable Scorers

  • Alexis Amabile (5'10 WG / Delaware Hayes / 2021): 22 points in a 42-37 win over Canal Winchester
  • Cayden Wagner (5'7 G / Johnstown / 2023): 21 points in a 65-35 win over Utica
