COLUMBUS, Ohio -- We are only a week away from District Final Saturday at Central Crossing. With eight sectional final games tipping off in Central Ohio on Saturday, let’s take a look at the action.
Heath moves on to the district semifinals to take on No. 3 DeSales on Weds., March 4 at 7 p.m.
Beechcroft moves on to the district semifinals to take on No. 5 Linden-McKinley on Weds., March 4 at 7 p.m. This will be the third matchup between the teams, with Linden-McKinley winning both regular season games.
Eastmoor moves on to the district semifinals to take on No. 8 London on Weds., March 4 at 7 p.m.
Bexley moves on to the district semifinals to take on No. 1 Jonathan Alder on Weds., March 4 at 7 p.m.
Holding East to just four points in the first half, Jonathan Alder continued to showcase its elite-level defense in a 48-25 win over the Tigers.
Jackie Santa-Emma and Henry Walker combined for 26 points as the Pioneers rolled to a win.
Jonathan Alder advances to the district semifinals to take on No. 17 Lakewood or No. 18 Bexley on Weds., March 4 at 7 p.m.
Des Watson went for 31 points and Kobe Righter pitched in a career-best 25 points as DeSales rolled past Centennial. Austin Mann also finished in double figures for the Stallions with 13 points.
For Centennial, junior Travonne Jackson finished up a breakout season with 21 points, while Jaylen Gilbert (15 points) and Ahmed Dada (13 points) added double figures.
DeSales advances to the district semifinals to take on No. 2 Heath or No. 10 Granville on Weds., March 4 at 7 p.m.
Linden-McKinley advances to the district semifinals to take on No. 6 Beechcroft or No. 13 Bishop Hartley on Weds., March 4 at 7 p.m.
London advances to the district semifinals to take on No. 4 Buckeye Valley or No. 11 Eastmoor on Weds., March 4 at 7 p.m.
