PICKERINGTON, Ohio -- After the Scholastic Play By Play Classic brought the entire community inside Nationwide Arena to witness an event that was the first of its kind in Central Ohio, it's back to comfy, cozy high school gyms and the smell of popcorn.
With Tuesday offering just over 30 games, there are a few that intrigue us. Let's take a look at the top games in Central Ohio tonight.
With Pickerington Central playing in the state football championship on Dec. 6, this matchup was pushed back 11 days and is the only OCC league matchup taking place on Tuesday. These two programs are as talented as they come in the area and will be serious contenders for district and regional titles.
Central is off to a hot start, going 3-0 in games with Garner Wallace in the lineup and winning those games by 107 combined points. For North, the Panthers have lost their last two games, falling to Gahanna and Hilliard Bradley last weekend. The Panthers can bounce back in a big way on the road on Tuesday.

For the first time ever, Grandview Heights and Buckeye Valley will duel as rivals in the Mid-State League. Both off to undefeated starts in league play, Grandview Heights will form a formidable challenge for a Buckeye Valley team looking to notch yet another signature win after going on the road and knocking off London last Tuesday.

A rival City League coach exclaimed that Tuesday's matchup against Walnut Ridge for Briggs is "their City Championship." That might just be the case as the Bruins are off to a hot 4-1 start and are a controversial buzzer beater against Olentangy away from being undefeated.
Briggs has scored more than 88 points in three games this season and is an especially tough out on their home floor. Walnut Ridge comes in with the City League's best player in VonCameron Davis and will look to pressure Briggs and turn the Bruins over.
