A look at the top performers from Week 1 of the Invite Only Division

GROVEPORT, Ohio -- Season 3 of the 270 Hoops Fall League tipped off on Sunday at Groveport Madison High School. With nearly 300 players from all over the area taking part in the action, let's take a look at the top performers from Sunday's Invite Only Division.

Open Division top performers will come out on Monday, so stay tuned for more coverage!

Keaton Turner (6’0 PG / Dublin Coffman / 2020):  Keaton looks more than ready to take over the scoring load for the Rocks, as he really filled it up on Sunday. He scored 13 points in the first five minutes of play and stayed hot finishing with a game high 22 points. He really had it going from beyond the arc where he knocked down four threes.

VonCameron Davis (6’5 WF / Walnut Ridge / 2020): VonCam was his usual self as he finished at will around the rim. He showed off an improved handle and took care of the glass. He finished with 17 points and eight rebounds. Look for Davis to commit to an in-state mid-major before the start of the season.

Brian Collier (6’0 PG / Grandview / 2020): Collier was money from beyond the arc as usual. Most impressive though was the way he bought in defensively and really made guys work. He came up with two steals to go along with his six points. Collier played a huge part in securing a win in Michigan State’s second game of the afternoon.

Jalen Sullinger (5’10 PG / Thomas Worthington / 2021): Showed flashes of what makes him the top 2021 PG in the area. He made a number of tough pull up jump shots finishing with 12 points and a win in his second game. Not too many are better than Sullinger at starting and stopping with the ball in his hands.

Cali Davis (6’0 PG / Africentric / 2020): Davis received player of the game honors in Duke’s 77-63 win over North Carolina, finishing with 16 points, three rebounds, five assists and three steals. Davis is a playmaking guard who makes a big impact on both ends of the floor. Division II and III programs need to make Davis a big priority.

Sean Jones (5’11 PG / Gahanna / 2022): As a two-year Fall League veteran, Jones certainly played like it, finishing with 14 points, three rebounds, four assists and two steals in leading North Carolina over Villanova. The Gahanna guard knocked down a pair of threes and showed his elite playmaking ability off the dribble, as there is not another guard in the area that plays with his level of pace and shift.

AJ Clayton (6’7 WF / Philo / 2022): When it’s all said and done, Clayton might just be the best prospect statewide in 2022. The 6-foot-7 Philo product was dialed in on Sunday, showing improved range and shooting ability, stretching the floor and burying two triples in North Carolina’s first matchup fof the day. Clayton remained a monster on the glass, cleaning up everything near him.

CJ Anthony (6’0 PG / Harvest Prep / 2020): Anthony has played in every single game in the three years of the 270 Hoops Fall League and Sunday was more of the usual for him, as he finished with 13 points, three rebounds and a pair of assists in Duke’s win over North Carolina. Anthony is a physical ball handler who puts pressure on the opposition on both ends. We love his toughness, confidence and ability to lead others.

Kalil Camara (6’3 WG / Westland / 2020): Camara got a chance to play in his first Fall League game on Sunday and he did not disappoint in Duke’s win over North Carolina. Camara took flight near the rim, finishing at will and chipping in 16 points, five rebounds and two assists. Off athleticism alone, Camara is as elite as they come, with the other parts of his game improving with each viewing we have of him.

Jaden Woods (6’5 WF / Newark / 2020): Woods is one of our favorite guys in the 2020 class, as he does all of the little things that you need to win. While Villanova went 0-2 on Sunday, we were still impressed with Woods, as he showed an ability to score it from beyond the arc, knocking down three triples and finishing with a team-high 11 points in a close loss to North Carolina. Woods should be a high priority for Division III programs in the region, as he offers length, versatility and scoring ability from multiple areas.

Henry Hinkle (6’0 PG / Olentangy Liberty / 2021): Hinkle’s offensive skill set is remarkable. Tight handle and a floor general, looking for open teammates. Hinkle had seven in his first game against Villanova and 15 against Duke. Hinkle was clutch against the Blue Devils scoring the winning bucket in sudden death.

Josiah Fulcher (6’3 WG / Lima Senior / 2020): Fulcher showed off his hot shooting scoring 12 points against Villanova and 15 against Duke helping out the Buckeyes get their first two wins. Fulcher has a silky shooting stroke, and great ball control. Fulcher is definitely one of the most talented scorers in the Fall League and will be one of the elite seniors anywhere in the state this winter.

Tyrese Hughey (6’7 PF / Thomas Worthington / 2021): Hughey is certainly an animal in the paint, as his size, athleticism and strength helped him deter plenty of shots around the rim. Hughey was a rebound shy of a double double against the Buckeyes. Definitely one of the most dominant forces in the Fall League.

Desmond Watson (6’4 WG / DeSales / 2021): Biggest highlight for Watson’s game against the Buckeyes was his turn around three sending the game to overtime. Watson has good length, athleticism and basketball IQ, knowing where he is and what to do on the floor. Watson had a couple huge plays down the stretch bringing the Blue Devils back into it but it wasn't enough. Look for the 6-foot-4 wing guard to really open eyes this winter for DeSales.

Samual Barton (6’3 PF / South / 2020): One of the more improved players in the area, Barton came to play in Week 1. He was in attack mode early and often finishing with 14 points and four rebounds. Most impressive was his confidence in taking the three point shot where he knocked down two in each viewing.

Sean Moore (6’4 WF / Reynoldsburg / 2020): Moore was very impressive in Kansas win over Kentucky, going for 19 points large in part to five triples. It was really satisfying to see him shooting with consistency off the catch, as this could really add to his arsenal on that end. If Moore plays with the motor he did today and shoots the ball like he did, he could put up some impressive numbers for the Raiders, who will rely upon him heavily on the offensive end.

Magnus Entenmann (6’8 PF / Upper Arlington / 2021): Entenmann showed off his smooth outside stroke today by knocking down shots off the catch in both games for his Kentucky squad. He also did a good job on the glass and gave his guys several extra chances, using his length and good hands around the rim. Magnus should take a big step up for Upper Arlington this winter, as he’s became very reliable as a rim-running big who can space the floor.

Dan Wagner (5’9 PG / Africentric / 2022): Wagner was very impressive today, going for game-high 14 points in his Kentucky squad’s 47-35 win over Indiana. He was attacking off the dribble all game long, as the lefty got to the rim consistently and finished well through contact and with both hands. Dan got after it on defense too, playing with a chip on his shoulder and locking down on that end of the floor. He will be a key piece of an Africentric squad who could really turn some heads this season.

Trevell Adams (5’11 PG / South / 2020): After a slow first game, Adams turned it on in a 47-35 win over Indiana, proving to be the leader that his Kentucky team will need this fall in a 12 point, four rebound showing. Adams didn’t hit any shots from the perimeter today (we already know he can) but rather scored most all of his points attacking off the dribble and in transition, as he was very tough to stay in front of and can create efficient looks around the basket with his ridiculous athleticism, as he also tried to throw down over two defenders on putback attempts. Chill out, Vell.

Eli Burke (6’0 PG / Africentric / 2021): Burke impressed during a tough loss to Indiana, getting to the rim with ease and finishing at a high rate through traffic, showing off excellent body control and finishing ability with both hands. As he has grown and added strength, he showed today that he will be a very tough two-way guard this season who can score it from all levels and defend reliably every night.

DJ Moore (6’3 PG / Worthington Christian / 2022): Moore has been busy catching touchdown passes lately, but stopped by on Sunday and put on a solid eight point, three rebound, three assist showing in a blowout 68-41 win over Kentucky. DJ was looking like his normal self, as he let the game come to him, didn’t force things and created in a variety of ways on the offensive end. The star of an uber talented Worthington Christian roster, we expect DJ to put up some big time numbers this winter as well as this fall.
