Kal Jayaraman (6'4 WF / Olentangy Liberty): Jayaraman was by far our breakout junior on Sunday, as he put Mid Ohio Pumas Jayaraman on his back in a semifinal victory over a tough team out of Starkville, Mississippi. Knocking down several deep threes in a second half performance where he made clutch play after clutch play, Jayaraman used his length to his advantage when it mattered most. A late bloomer in the 2020 class, Jayaraman looks to have his best basketball ahead of him, as he will get plenty of open looks in Liberty's Princeton offense this winter. Jayaraman plays with a good motor and has a great feel, as he didn't take any bad shots and played within the offense to help his team advance to the title game. Keep an eye on him for the next year and a half.

Huston Harrah (6'5 PF / Fairfield Union):  A player that we saw as a sophomore last winter, Harrah has improved in the months since, making several keys plays as he helped Hidden Gems Black win the 16U Gold title on Sunday. A lengthy athlete with good instincts, Harrah played good basketball from the mid-range and in, rebounding, defending and scoring against an athletic AOT team out of Georgia. Harrah has a great feel and should be able to take the next step and help Fairfield Union to replace tons of scoring that departs due to graduation.

Cali Davis (5'11 PG / Africentric): Playing off the ball the last two seasons alongside Tre Baumgardner, it was nice to see Davis run the show on Sunday. The rising junior did not disappoint, as he showed off an ability to lead a team that we didn't get to see during the high school season. Already a talented shooter who can get hot in a hurry, Davis impressed as a primary ball handler who can really pass, as his command of the game on both ends made a huge difference in the championship run. Look for Davis to emerge as one of the very best players in the City League this season and keep Africentric among the top contenders in Division III.

Carson Conley (6'1 PG / Licking Valley):  While Conley may fly under the radar at Licking Valley during the winter, he made sure his name would be remembered after his performance in Louisville. An above-average athlete at the lead guard spot, Conley plays with a motor that never stops which allows him to produce in all facets of the game. When his outside jumper is falling, Conley can be really effective, as was the case in the final two wins for Mid Ohio Pumas Justice on their way to a Gold bracket title. Conley went for a weekend-high 31 points in the semifinal, before scoring 19 points and adding a handful of rebounds, assists and steals in the final. Look for Conley to have another strong season in the Licking County League and have a chance to earn all-first team honors in Division II.
