N'Keeley Elmore (5'9 PG / Northland): Elmore is the most experienced player returning for a Northland team that enters a season as the underdog in the City League. However, behind Elmore's leadership, this team may be better than what some are expecting. Elmore came to play on Sunday morning, leading the Vikings to a 36-point win over a short-handed Xenia team, scoring, assisting and especially defending at a high level. Elmore leads by his voice and by example, which will benefit this team. For the last few years since Seth Towns has graduated, Northland has had a tendency to take on the attitude of its leader. If that is to happen again for the Vikings, look for this team to overachieve, as Elmore plays with a chip on his shoulder and never gives up.

Javohn Garcia (6'3 PG / Pickerington Central): As Garcia has continued to learn how to play and develop his feel for the game, he has done nothing but improve at the point guard spot. Garcia played his best ball on Sunday, dominating on both ends of the floor in a highly intense game vs. Walnut Ridge. Garcia is a legitimate two-way player who makes an impact with his length and athleticism, as he is a special scorer in transition, but has improved in the half court as well. With only two offers from Air Force and Stony Brook, Garcia is flying a bit under the radar right now, but I don't expect that to last for long.

Soul Hines (6'4 WG / Harvest Prep): One of the bigger wing guards in the 2019 class, Hines had it working both on Saturday and Sunday. A knockdown shooter who has improved his scoring ability off the bounce, Hines thrives when the game gets physical, as he seems to elevate his game in those scenarios. Hines did exactly that on Sunday, as he impressed on both ends of the floor. Quality wing who should get plenty of recruiting action in July.

Philip Alston (6'6 PF / Westerville North): A prospect who certainly passes the look test, Alston matched that with his production in our viewing of him on Sunday. A physical athlete who thrived on baseline drives, Alston was productive in a win for the Warriors. Finishing through contact at the basket and even knocking down a few open jumpers, Alston showed flashes of the considerable upside that he has. As his perimeter skills and feel continue to improve, Alston could turn into one of the better late bloomer prospects in the area.

Na'elle Simmons (6'7 PF / Beechcroft): The lone starter returning from Beechcroft's historic team last season, Simmons is the top player for the Cougars for the first time in his career. With much less experience surrounding him, Simmons will have to step up as the leader of this team. In a tough loss to Huber Heights Wayne, Simmons had his moments, fighting hard inside as the Cougars' top offensive option. Simmons showed an ability to finish through contact that was better than the last time we saw him, as his rebounding ability and effort was also improved as well.

Elijah Glenn (6'4 C / Harvest Prep): Big bodied post with nimble feet and a soft touch. Glenn showed flashes on Sunday, using his wide frame inside to carve out space and finish. Glenn has a high level of skill around the basket while also having the ability to step out and knock down perimeter shots. The only thing separating Glenn from being the best he can be is improved conditioning, as he could really elevate this Harvest Prep team by being able to stay on the floor for longer stretches.

Jaidon Lipscomb (6'1 WG / Pickerington Central): There is not a more confident shooter (other than maybe Josh Corbin) anywhere in Central Ohio than Lipscomb. A microwave from the perimeter, Lipscomb was back to his usual self in Pickerington Central's win over Walnut Ridge. Going for 16 quick points off the bench, Lipscomb knocked down a trio of triples, while also showing an improved ability to put the ball on the floor and finish at the rim. With an offer from Shawnee State, look for Lipscomb, who is a terrific student, to continue to attract recruiting attention at the NAIA level.
