Jeremiah Francis (6'3 / Pickerington Central / 2019): Fresh off playing in West Virginia's elite camp last weekend, Francis brought a high-major level of play to Coach Vic's on Sunday. The most physical lead guard that I think I've ever watched, Francis imposed his will on the drive, finishing at a high level at the rim, while remaining a force to deal with on the defensive perimeter. Francis, despite being built like Emmitt Smith, is still very quick and fleet footed, which has helped him turn into Ohio's best point guard in 2019. Look for a huge season out of Francis this winter.

David Dennis (6'2 / West Liberty Univ / Soph): Leading his team to a 6-0 record, Dennis was stellar once again, leading his team in all areas. An absolute winner that just has an edge on the court, Dennis has been one of the all-time best performers at Coach Vic's, highlighted by an estimated .800 winning percentage (my own estimation) in the event. One thing about Dennis' game that isn't commonly found among most point guards, is the fact that you just cannot get the ball from him, which greatly aids his assist-to-turnover ratio, while constantly giving his team a chance to win. Dennis has 'it.'

Zach Watson (6'2 / Dublin Jerome / 2017): 'Wow' is the word to describe Watson's game today, as the Dublin Jerome senior was excellent leading his team. Whether it was his command of the floor, first-step quickness, ability to get in the lane and finish, or ability to stretch the floor and knock down shots, Watson was stellar in all areas on the floor, putting in an excellent showing. Look for Watson to light it up this season at Dublin Jerome, as there are not many lead guards in the entire area better than him.

Anthony Mills (6'2 / Westerville South / 2017): The defending state champion did on Sunday what Westerville South relied on him for in March. Knocking down outside shots and providing for some dazzling ball-handling ability, Mills was a treat to watch, as his squad played very well in our viewings of them. A physical guard with a nose for the ball, Mills is a tough competitor that has been through the ringer, while also being battle-tested in big games. There are not many guards we would choose over Mills in a big game.

Coming down through the rain on Sunday, Team NW Ohio was a treat to watch on Sunday, due in part to the play of Fort Loramie junior guards Evan Berning and Dillon Braun. Commanding the game and hitting outside shots, the duo, paired with a strong supporting cast of Versailles wing Justin Ahrens, Jackson Center forward Brady Wildermuth and Malvern center Mark Mayle, were very successful. Look for Berning and Braun to light it up this season as Fort Loramie has a chance to be pretty good once again this winter.

Starting off as the event's ninth team, and sitting for the first game on the last court, Columbus Team 5 made a strong charge to the winner's court by winning three straight games and fighting for their spot on the floor. Much of that success is due in large part to the Carter brothers of Thomas Worthington, as junior point guard Jaedyn Carter and senior shooting guard Christian Carter led a tough team of underdogs that played as hard as anyone on Sunday. Jaedyn Carter controlled the tempo at the point guard position, while applying great pressure defensively. For his older brother Christian, the senior wing knocked down big shots from the perimeter and was able to attack the bucket and get in the lane whenever necessary.
