Zach Fleer is co-owner of 270 Hoops. A 2015 graduate of The Ohio State University, Zach is a Columbus native with a passion for high school hoops unlike any other. Arriving onto the Central Ohio basketball scene in the winter of 2012, Zach has worked relentlessly to emerge as the area’s top source for high school hoops. Zach has also contributed in the past to Eleven Warriors, 247 Sports, Scout, SB Nation and the Prep Hoops Network. A high school hoops savant by night, Zach spends his days as the Internet Manager at Buckeye Nissan in Hilliard, Ohio.
Jason Morrow is co-owner of 270 Hoops. A 2014 graduate of The Ohio State University, Jason is a Columbus native with a passion for high school hoops unlike any other. Spending years watching high school basketball at the Coliseum, Jason has written for multiple publications, and has had his content featured on the likes of ESPN SportsCenter, Fox Sports and Bleacher Report. Jason is currently employed by SLAM Magazine as a freelance videographer.
Jake Spegal is an editor and staff writer for 270 Hoops. Jake joined 270 Hoops toward the end of the 2018 season, covering the Division III and IV district and regional tournaments. Since then, Jake has had a big hand in helping assist 270 Baseball and 270 Gridiron, along with his continued work for 270 Hoops. Jake is a very talented writer with a great work ethic. Jake is currently a junior at Grove City Christian School, where he plays baseball.
Nathan Perkey is a graphic designer, photographer, videographer and staff writer for 270 Hoops. Nathan joined the 270 Hoops staff in the fall of 2018. Nathan graduated from Jonathan Alder in 2018 and is a big fan of high school basketball. Nathan currently attends Columbus State Community College. A talented multimedia professional, Nathan is a huge asset to 270 Hoops.
Darkell Curry is a contributor to 270 Hoops. Darkell played three years of varsity basketball at Horizon Science Academy, before graduating from Africentric Early College in 2014. Darkell played one season of college basketball at Ohio State-Newark in 2014-15. Darkell joined 270 Hoops in December 2016 and has covered the Columbus City League extensively. A former hooper with a good eye for the game, Darkell has been a great addition to 270 Hoops since his arrival.
Connor is a staff writer and scout for 270 Hoops. Connor joined 270 Hoops during the beginning of the 2018-19 season. A native of Youngstown, Connor is currently a manager on the Columbus State Community College men's basketball team, as well as an NBA Draft scout for The 94. Connor joined 270 Hoops after a brief stint with Prep Hoops Ohio. Connor has a great eye for scouting and is a huge boost for 270 Hoops.
Andy is a staff writer for the Licking County League for 270 Hoops. Andy joined 270 Hoops during the beginning of the 2018-19 season. Andy is a junior at Granville High School, where he plays baseball and football. Andy is a standout student who brings great writing skills and passion for the LCL to 270 Hoops.
John Stampe is a staff writer for 270 Hoops. John is a former high school coach in the Columbus City League, with extended stops at Beechcroft and West high schools, where John helped lead the Cougars and Cowboys to great success in the 1990s and 2000s. John is a high school basketball historian who is currently working on an Ohio high school basketball encyclopedia. John is a 1981 graduate of East High School, where he played alongside legends like Granville Waiters. John's knowledge of the game and great feel for the history of Central Ohio basketball is invaluable to 270 Hoops.
Jacob is a data entry specialist for 270 Hoops. Jacob joined 270 Hoops in the beginning of the 2018-19 season. Jacob is pursuing a degree in Public Relations at Otterbein University, where he has plenty of experience in sports information and journalism.
