Zach Fleer is co-owner, senior editor, event director, videographer and photographer for 270 Hoops. A 2015 graduate of The Ohio State University, Zach is a Columbus native with a passion for high school hoops unlike any other. Arriving onto the Central Ohio basketball scene in the winter of 2012, Zach has worked relentlessly to emerge as the area’s top source for high school hoops. Zach has also contributed in the past to Eleven Warriors, 247 Sports, Scout, SB Nation and the Prep Hoops Network. Zach has experience on TV, appearing on WBNS 10TV Wall To Wall Sports on a handful of occasions, as well as news appearances on NBC4, ABC6 and 97.1 The Fan FM.
Jason Morrow is co-owner of 270 Hoops. A 2014 graduate of The Ohio State University, Jason is a Columbus native with a passion for high school hoops unlike any other. Spending years watching high school basketball at the Coliseum, Jason has written for multiple publications, and has had his content featured on the likes of ESPN SportsCenter, Fox Sports and Bleacher Report. Jason is also currently employed by SLAM Magazine as a freelance videographer, alongside his duties at 270 Hoops.
Jake Spegal is an editor, photographer, videographer and staff writer for 270 Hoops. Jake joined 270 Hoops toward the end of the 2018 season, covering the Division III and IV district and regional tournaments. Since then, Jake has had a big hand in helping assist 270 Baseball and 270 Gridiron, along with his continued work for 270 Hoops. Jake also started covering Ohio State basketball recruiting for BuckeyeGrove.com during the summer of 2020. Jake is a very talented writer with a great work ethic. Jake is currently a freshman at Otterbein University, where he studies business administration and sports communications.
Darkell Curry is a contributor to 270 Hoops. Darkell played three years of varsity basketball at Horizon Science Academy and graduated in 2014. Darkell played one season of college basketball at Ohio State-Newark in 2014-15. Darkell joined 270 Hoops in December 2016 and has covered the Columbus City League extensively. A former hooper with a good eye for the game, Darkell has been a great addition to 270 Hoops since his arrival.
Garreth is in his first season as a staff writer and videographer for 270 Hoops. He is a 2020 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln and currently studies at Ohio University.
Cameron is a staff writer for 270 Hoops, who joined prior to the 2019-20 season. A junior at The Ohio State University, Cameron had a great high school basketball career at Miami Trace, as he offers a great eye for talent evaluation for 270 Hoops.
Mark is in his first season as a staff writer and scout for 270 Hoops. Mark's focus is primarily on the Columbus City League. The Eastmoor Academy and Ohio Dominican alum has a deep background in sports journalism and offers incredible writing creativity to 270 Hoops. Mark has previous experience as a writer with Prep Hoops Ohio.
Greg is in his first season contributing for 270 Hoops as volunteer staff writer. A longtime fan of 270 Hoops and Central Ohio high school basketball, Greg's passion for the game makes him a great addition to 270 Hoops.
Cade is a staff writer for 270 Hoops, primarily focusing on the Licking County League and surrounding areas and teams. Cade joined the staff prior to the 2019-20 season and has been a huge asset to 270 Hoops.
Nicholas is a freelance videographer for 270 Hoops. Nicholas is in his first season with the company. Nicholas is currently a student at Bexley High School.
Nick is a staff writer for 270 Hoops, primarily focusing on the MSL-Buckeye division. Nick attends Liberty Union High School and plays basketball. Nick joined prior to the 2019-20 season and has been a reliable source of MSL coverage in his short time with 270 Hoops.
Carson is in his first season as a staff videographer for 270 Hoops. Currently a student at Hilliard Davidson, Carson has a passion in videography and is looking to work his way into sports media.
