Take a look at the latest power rankings in Division II

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Division II was the least active of any of the four divisions this past week, as snow cancellations wiped away more than half of the schedule games. With some teams not even playing for more than a week, Division II will be interesting this week.

Let's take a look at the top five.

1. Beechcroft

Record: 8-1 (4-0)

This Week: Tuesday at Mifflin, Wednesday vs. International, Friday at Centennial

All three of Beechcroft's games last week were cancelled, the last two, a home matchup vs. East and road contest at DeSales, were due to weather. The first one? A broken backboard prior to Tuesday's home contest vs. International. Through the first two weeks of 2018, Beechcroft has yet to win a game, as its only contest came in a tough loss at No. 1 (D1) Pickerington North on Jan. 6. With five league games in the next nine days, Beechcroft can take a commanding lead in the City League North, as well as get back to its elite level of play that helped the Cougars secure a No. 4 ranking in the latest AP state poll.

2. Eastmoor

Record: 9-2 (5-0)

This Week: Tuesday at West, Wednesday vs. #13 (D1) Walnut Ridge, Friday vs. #9 Independence

Eastmoor has been as consistent as any team in Division II, winning every game against Central Ohio teams. With its only losses coming to Cincinnati Moeller and Detroit King, Eastmoor has played a tough schedule and navigated it about as well as possible. The Warriors can pick up some major strength of record points this week with home matchups against rivals Walnut Ridge and Independence. Five of Eastmoor's next seven games come against ranked opponents, which could catapult the Warriors to No. 1 in D2 if they can go 7-0 in that stretch.

3. South

Record: 9-2 (4-1)

This Week: Tuesday at #9 Independence, Wednesday at #5 (D4) Africentric, Friday vs. #13 (D1) Walnut Ridge, Saturday vs. Lancaster

Four games in five days. An absolutely brutal stretch here for South, as the Bulldogs will be tested with three ranked matchups against league opponents. South's depth will be challenged this week, as the Bulldogs will look to hold on to its second place spot in the City League South. If South can go undefeated, the Bulldogs will pick up a ton of strength of record points, as well as position itself to make a run at Eastmoor for a division title.

4. Bishop Hartley

Record: 8-3 (3-1)

This Week: Monday at Philo, Friday at Bishop Watterson, Saturday at Patriot Academy

Hartley has lingered around the top five all season, as the Hawks have had extreme highs and lows through 11 games. With its next four games coming on the road, Hartley will look to get back in the race for first place in the Central Catholic League. Three winnable games are on the schedule this week, before a mega matchup at No. 2 (D3) Bishop Ready on Jan. 26.

5. East

Record: 7-2 (4-1)

This Week: Tuesday vs. Whetstone, Friday vs. Mifflin

East suffered its first loss in the City League last Tuesday in a tight battle at Northland. With nearly a week off, East has just two games this week, as Beechcroft's broken backboard cancellation pushed the Tigers' matchup with the Cougars to Jan. 22. East can stay in contention for a City League North division title if he can manage to go through this week undefeated before next Monday's showdown at Beechcroft.
