COLUMBUS, Ohio -- In a career-high performance, Olentangy Orange senior Jalen Bethel went off for 28 points and 15 rebounds in a big win over rival and No. 14 Olentangy Liberty last Friday. Receiving 31 percent of the 1,536 total votes, Bethel is the Just Hoops Player of the Week.

Bethel edged out Dublin Coffman sophomore Dominiq Penn by 59 total votes to take home the honors this week. The 6-foot-7 Bethel is enjoying a breakout senior season for the 5-0 Orange Pioneers, as his dominant play in the post has been key for his team. A standout in the 270 Hoops Fall League, Bethel is one of the very best unsigned seniors in Central Ohio.

Bethel and No. 12 Orange are back in action in OCC-Buckeye league play on Friday at No. 15 Westerville Central. Another big performance against a ranked team could lead to Bethel being right back on the ballot.
