Eastmoor rallied in the second half to pick up a good win over Dublin Coffman

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- In the opener of the Jared Sullinger Scholastic Play by Play Classic, Eastmoor turned up the pressure in the second half to race past Dublin Coffman. Going on a 29-9 run that stretched the third and fourth quarters, Eastmoor picked up a quality non-league win, 57-51.

After trailing by eight points at halftime, Eastmoor switched to a full-court pressure defense in the third quarter which paid huge dividends. Speeding Coffman up and forcing turnovers, Eastmoor relied on the second half scoring of junior forward Tim Smith, who scored 17 points after halftime alone.

Eastmoor was led by junior wing guard Taevion Kinsey, who finished with a game-high 18 points. Kinsey was important in the first half providing the bulk of the offense for the Warriors, as Eastmoor's supporting cast struggled to score.

Junior forward Stanley Williams had a solid performance, finishing with nine points, seven of which in the fourth quarter.

For Coffman, freshman guard Dominiq Penn and junior forward Nick Carlson led the way with 14 points each. No other player finished with more than eight points for Coffman, as the Rocks were held to 21 points in the second half.
