Will Yoakum (6'5 / Delaware Hayes / 2017): A first ballot selection for the Coach Vic's Hall of Fame, Yoakum simply wins at the event, as he is an all-around player that impacts the game in every area. Fresh off his biggest offer yet from D2 power Wheeling Jesuit on Saturday, Yoakum played great basketball on a team stockpiled full of shooters. Being evaluated by small D1 Elon on Tuesday, look for Yoakum to have a chance to take the next step forward as a prospect that has gone under the radar a bit up to this point.

Cameron Brooks-Harris (6'6 / Zanesville / 2018): Playing with a motor and remaining engaged for the duration of the event, Brooks-Harris played his best basketball on Sunday. With terrific length and athleticism, Brooks-Harris is on the edge of breaking out as a prospect, as we expect his move to Zanesville to do great things for him going forward. Brooks-Harris has all the athletic tools to become a very intriguing prospect on the wing, as his motor and commitment to both ends of the floor are the only variables at this point.

Chris Mayfield (6'2 / Hilliard Bradley / 2020): One of the more elite prospects in the 2020 class, Mayfield made his debut at Coach Vic's on Sunday and did not disappoint. A chiseled prospect with a near college-ready build as a freshman, Mayfield is an elite athlete who plays committed basketball on both ends of the floor. A physical defender that brings the 'it' factor to his team, Mayfield could really enhance a Hilliard Bradley team that has needed a player of his caliber to take the next step forward as a program looking to become elite.

Shamar Brown (6'4 / West / 2017): On a team that won all but one game on Sunday, Brown played his role perfectly as a junkyard dog who makes athletic plays and commits on the defensive side. A two-sport athlete that also stars on the football field, Brown is the top prospect at West, who will need a big season from him in order to remain in the top half of the City League-South.

Dibaji Walker (6'6 / Independence / 2017): Walker is emerging as one of the area's most intriguing 2017 prospects, as his elite length and athleticism has coaches all over interested. The son of 12-year NBA vet Samaki Walker, Dibaji Walker is still only 16 years old, and is in the midst of a growth spurt that has him at 6-foot-6 and growing. A knockdown mid-range shooter that can also break defenders down off the dribble and create his own shot, Walker has a chance to have a breakout senior season at Independence this winter.

Nate Ward (6'6 / Gahanna / 2018): A player that has really established himself this fall, Ward was solid once again on Sunday. With great length and athleticism, Ward can do a little bit of everything on that alone, as his skill set continues to develop. Ward has a chance to be a very good wing prospect if he can continue to improve his outside shooting.

Malik Sammons (6'4 / Westerville North / 2017): One of the area's best athletes, Sammons made his Coach Vic's debut on Sunday and did not disappoint. With as much bounce as nearly anyone in the area, Sammons played very well in the event, getting to the rim and finishing, while knocking down enough shots to keep the defense honest. On a Westerville North team with plenty of guards, Sammons' athletic presence will be needed for the Warriors to take the next step forward in getting back to an elite level of competitiveness.

Abdul Kanu (6'4 / DeSales / 2017): A standby list addition that played very well on Sunday, we liked what we saw from Kanu, who is a long and range wing prospect that can get to the basket. Making several players in transition, Kanu had one of the better performances out of all wings on Sunday, playing the best out of any standby list player that we have had this fall. We will be looking forward to seeing Kanu this winter at DeSales.
